Full-flavored fruit

They are not fully ripe in the store. So, they need some time to ripen and become soft. Cut them along their "equator" and then four "longitudes" around the pit. Then the pieces will fall out bite-sized. Enjoy the full flavor.

Very ripe when purchased

All of the produce that day appeared to be very ripe. I've not experienced that song there before. Bought anyway sadly, and ended up throwing away half of them. Previously purchased and they were fine. Thought maybe the heat outside had maybe affected our the remodeling going on inside the store.

They were all smashed

The fruits were all smashed. Looked like they were thrown in my car. I usually step out for mobile pick up but I wasn’t feeling too well this particular day and I didn’t want to get the employees sick so I didn’t see until I got home that they were all completely smashed.

Too early in the season

These nectarines were not ready to eat. They were hard, tart and not at all juicy. I tried to ripen them on the counter but the skin started to shrivel after a few days. I ended up cutting them up and making them into a chunky (as they wouldn’t soften enough even in cooking) compote, which was actually tasty with the added sugar.

Sams club fruit

Sweet. Keep in the refrigerator, lasts a lot longer than the other fruit that Sam’s sells. Blackberries and Strawberries are a risky proposition at sams. New pallets come out to the floor and if purchased may last 2-3 days. Many times the strawberries are moldy.

Disappointed

They were very dry nectarines. No juice nor sweetness. I was not pleased. Just so I didn’t feel like I wasted my money….. I tossed them in my compost bin. Let me just add, before I composted them I took a bite out of all the nectarines and Yes, dry and unsweetened.

Already packaged Nectarines

You are taking a gamble when you buy fruit of any kind. The last bag of nectarines that I got from Sam's were not good. Every single one was bad with either black inside or way too dry. I have bought them and every single one was very good. I would think if they are supposed to be premium pick of the crop they would ALWAYS be quality.

Not ok!

At first I thought they were very sweet/tasty just within days of purchase. But I soon discovered the texture was weird/old from cold storage (how many months??) and found the last few had rotten seeds! Yuck! And not the first time!! No more purchages of multiple fruit in bags...and that's true almost everywhere! Guess I have to go to Publix or Sprouts for fresh-er fruit
