It should be 100% olive oil, not part canola oil. makes a big difference in flavor or real Italian olive salad

When I imitate the muffaletta sandwiches sold at the Central Grocery in New Orleans, I use this olive spread.. It is the most authentic tasting and is made with olive oil, unlike some other brands which use chopped olives in a combination of water and a little oil. Also, the price on Walmart.com was about the same, or even less, than it is in the grocery stores down south. I live in Arizona now and was so glad to find it here for my upcoming Mardi Gras party...it is a key ingredient for the sandwiches.

This is a great salad mix and have been using it for years. It's not easy to find, so am glad that WalMart carries it and delivers it for free! I buy it by the six-pack. I use it in green salads, on pasta, egg and tuna salad, etc. Can't do without it since someone introduced it to me a long time ago.

If you could see how often I order this stuff, you'd know that I love this! I put it on salads and use it for flavoring in most of my savory dishes. I also use it when I need to add a little oil to saute vegetables, eggs, etc. It was also packed well and came in perfect shape.

The photo clearly shows that this olive salad is in 100% olive oil. However, the 32 oz jar is NOT 100% olive oil. It is a mix of canola and olive oil. In fact, the jars I received did not even say "100% olive oil" on the front as it does in the photo. The taste is GREAT, but I paid for a product in 100% olive oil which is much healthier than what I received.

Boscoli's has my favorite Olive Salad. I've tried others and they're not as good. My favorite way to use it is in Pasta Salad. It's one of my favorite things to bring to work for lunch, because it's quick and easy and I don't have to wait for the microwave. It's relatively healthy, I think, depending on what else you put in there. I just take mine right out of the fridge and bring it to my room and eat while I write up my reports. It's so good I crave it sometimes. I've tried other brands and their just off in some way or another, but Boscoli's is PERFECTION.

I had read that Boscoli was making some orders with canola oil, instead of olive oil, as indicated in the offerings. Lot's of complaints on Amazon.Com. We hated the commercial seed oil after- taste, very disappointed. The ad should be amended to indicate the change to canola oil. I will be returning mine for a refund.

I have used this for years while in Louisiana. When we moved to NC I was surprised to be able to buy it. We would never want to be without it. We use it on a toasted Kaiser Roll with sliced turkey and Swiss cheese every Sunday after church so we use up the 6 jars we order in less time than you would think. Also it's excellent in potato salad.
