Great set of dummbells

We've been talking about purchasing these for a long time. Great value for the product. Easy to adjust, space saver, good looking product. It gives us the ability to have multiple weight size varieties without having to store multiple dumbbells. My husband and I also, obviously, lift different weight levels so it's one piece of equipment for the both of us. We both can benefit from them at our own respective levels.

Good

Works well although the double adjustment for each dumbbell is a bit annoying. I have the new version another reviewer mentioned and didn't notice anything too fragile about it. If it won't come up as it does every now and then you have to press down and slightly shake and check alignment. I prefer these to my old Power Blocks as the grip on Powerblock is more constrained. However the Powerblock has the advantage of not being as bulky at lower weights as the width of the Bowflex is the same regardless, so bear that in mind.

Great for small spaces

Overall very happy with them! Allows you to have a wide range of weights without taking up lots of space. Does require some extra time to change the weight in between sets so if you are trying to love fast and keep up while changing out the amount of weight it can be challenging but overall very happy!

Makes working out at home so much easier.

I'm 50 yrs old and have lifted weights to help stay in shape since I was a teenager. This is one of the best products I've ever added to my home gym. Being able to change weights for different exercises without removing collors and plates is a great time saver. I also really enjoyed the CD demonstating exercises and techniques, which would really be helpful to someone who hasn't lifted much before.

Good buy and well made dumbbell set

Great value. Well made. The only concern I might mention is that they are rather long. Some people might find that the dumbbells touch their thigh when doing seated curls, standing lateral raises, etc... But this is a minor issue . Otherwise they are fantastic.

Good space saver compared with a complete set.

Exactly what I wanted. Dial system seems reliable. The only thing (that should be obvious) is that the volume/bulk of low weights is going to be higher than a single weight set. For example, a 10 lb dumbbell is the full width, while a dedicated 10 lb dumbell is usually smaller.

The only weight set needed

I have been wanting these weights for a while. They are amazing and so easy to use. Things I didn't realize prior to opening the box: - the box is large and heavy (have help) - there is a specific way to remove them from the box -read the instructions prior to use (also where the removal instructions are)

You Get What You Pay For (In a Good Way)

Great build and practical to use. I love using these weights for my morning workouts. Switching lbs is easy, and oddly satisfying (i love hearing it click when shifting gears.) Its a big chunk of change up front, but range of workouts it enables is priceless.

Excellent Quality

Great set of weights. Had a set of 20 & 25 cast iron dumbells and needed to move up in weight. The Bowflex set is compact, EZ and will grow with me as I go up in reps and sets. As I mentioned, these are rugged and high quality. The DVD was helpful and good, but is a bit "dry". (Had some good points) Would recommend to anyone with limited space but who needs a wide range of poundage to get pumped up! My wife uses the 5&7&10# settings. My kids use the 10-20 range. Pa uses the upper end of the poundage range....lol!

Great Variable Dumbbell Set

I have had these for only about two weeks now and can't attest to their durability but think these are a great investment for those who enjoy "modest" work-outs using dumbbells, that want to gradually increase their strength level and don't have the space or money for a complete steel dumbbell set. I have quite a few pieces of exercise equipment (fitness gym, bench, free weights including a 20, 25, and 30 lb dumbbell set) and assuming these last would pick these as the one piece of equipment I would keep if forced to size down my personal gym. There are so many exercises that can be done with dumbbells to keep in shape. I would say these are not for the hard-core weightlifter that likes to push it to where they point they need to drop the weights on their work-out mat after a hard set of reps. Not sure yet what kind of beating they can withstand, but plan to handle them very carefully and hope to never find out.
