Richard Gilmore tries to force adult Lorelai to eat half a grapefruit for her own good because he does daily. Juice from the source with full fiber, awesome with a smidge of sweetener of your choosing. Maybe try the whole fruit and compost afterward.

I have bought grapefruit in particularly and have been "taken", get them home and the fruit isn't sweet at all. I bought a bag at my local Sam's Club in Beaumont, Texas and have to say they were packed with sweetness, the juice would run down your chin....WOW these are the best grapefruit that I have purchased in quite some time, "Thank You" Sam's for providing me with the best quality fruit money can buy.

I have totally sworn off ANY grapefruit except these and I miss them so much the few months Sam's does not carry them. I always look when I go in and I always buy a bag if they are in stock. I don't care what the other grocery stores say, "sweet," "really red," none of the other grapefruits compare in my opinion. If you have been adding a little sugar to your grapefruit, you are buying the wrong grapefruit! I LOVE these Texas reds so much I would almost be willing to fly there to get them.

Each year as the months wind down I look forward to late December and the start of Red Grapefruit Season at Sam’s Club, which will last until mid-April. This is the time to purchase bags of 8 or 9 fruit, each less than $10…I usually get 4 bags at a time as it’s cool enough to store them outdoors. I have a whole grapefruit every evening--cut in half, prepared with a grapefruit knife and topped with more than a little salt, each segment then hungrily devoured with a grapefruit spoon. Yummy!

This is the third and last time I will ever buy grapefruits from Sams.All 3 times they were so sour I had to spit the juice out & I like to suck on lemons! Also they were so tough you couldn't chew them, it was like trying to bite into a small tree branch, then chewing it. And yes I know what that's like, and I'm not going to go any further on that. But they were just awful, I thought three times would be a charm, NOT!!

A Whole Bag of sweet delicious ruby red grapefruit! A gift from the gods. My favorite way to enjoy them is halved and separating the sections with my special grapefruit knife. Yes they are so good that there is a special knife. Eating just one is a decipline. Sometimes i have to eat two - such a treat 😋. Of course pealing them into sections is great too. Thank you trees for bearing such wonderful & big treats.

Good size. I like to peel the entire thing ( I use a tupperware citrus peeler ) , separate the segments then enjoy. The rind was a bit hard to remove in some places and getting the peeler through the tough places was a chore as the peeler kept popping to the surface. All the segments were grapefruity~sweet. Will buy again.

I consider myself something of a grapefruit aficionado. Usually the best grapefruits come from Texas. These were from Texas. But they were very thick skinned and difficult to peel and not very sweet. I suspect that they had been in storage for quite a while.

These grapefruit are some of the best I've ever had! No lie, the big juicy-looking ones at the supermarket have too often turned out to be dry and even mealy! Not a bad one in the bunch. My only problem is that I can hardly eat them all, and I'm worried they'll go bad before I get to the bottom of the bag. LOL

The most recent batch of these ruby red grapefruit had fantastic flavor, whereas sometimes they can lack flavor. They were bright pink or reddish in color and perfectly ripe. Plus, it is cheaper to buy by bag than individually. I would buy these again when in season!
