Tyler's take

I purchased the LTX AT2's based on michelin's name and the bargain price I could get them for. I'm so happy with them! Better gas mileage, great traction, and great stopping grip! I will purchase nothing but michelin's as long as the states department of transportation allows me to drive.

Ver good, but...

Tires have about 8k miles on them at time of review.I switched to this tire from the MS2 thinking I will be off road a bit more this fall. Road noise and vibration are slightly higher than the MS2, but still impressive for an AT tire. Had them in light snow in April and they seemed to grip a bit better than the MS2, but the MS2 seems a bit better in rain. The AT2 has a bit of sloppiness in cornering on dry pavement. If you spend 95% or more of your time on road I think the MS2 would get the nod.

Holding up well, so far.

Currenty these tires have about 20,000 miles including 3 round trips from Pa. to Fl. They are installed on a Ford F250 Diesel Pick up that I haul a 2000 lb. slide-in camper and tow a 7000 lb GVW Car trailer with. The majority of the miles are high speed and heavily loaded so I am not too suprised they are wearing a little faster than expected. The sidewalls are a little softer than the BFG A/Ts I had and I get a little more sway than before. These tire seen to hold a good balance and are wearing flat and even. I don't seem to get mutch road noise but I guess it's tough to hear much above the noise of the diesel. I like them enough to have just put a set on my conversion van.

Lasted over 80,000 on a 7,300lb Truck!

Best truck tire for all around use that I have ever had. They lasted a little over 80,000 miles on my 2007 Chevrolet 2500 Classic Crew Cab 4x4 Diesel that weighs around 7,300 lbs. About half of those miles were pulling a 14,000 trailer and I live in place where the ambient temperature is over 100 degree's 8-9 months of the year. I also never had a Michelin LTX AT2 go flat or fail. The LTX AT2 is a quiet, comfortable ride, and outstanding traction tire. They also always felt stable even when pulling a trailer. A good comparison for the mileage these tires lasted, the tires that came on the truck from the GM factory only lasted 35,000 miles. I sold a friend on Michelin tires by betting him that my truck would reverse out of a driveway that was snow covered and had a moderate incline. He said, better hit the 4x4 button, and I said don't need to, these tires are awesome. My truck backed right out of the driveway and he was sold. These tires were great every mile drove and the only things I had to do for them was maintain the correct tire pressure and rotate them. Even though they are on the more expensive side, I believe they are worth every penny.

great tires

I HAD A SET OF TIRES NEW FROM FACTORY ON MY 2012 YUKON. THEY HAD A LOT OF ROAD NOISE FROM ABOUT 15K MILES ON ( WORN OUT AT 35K MILES) . THE NEW MICHELIN'S ARE MUCH QUIETER AND I HOPE TO GET AT LEAST 60K AS ADVERTISED. MY FUEL MILEAGE STAYED ABOUT THE SAME. THE HANDLING IS ALSO MUCH BETTER

I'm a Michelin Girl!!

This is my 3rd or 4th set of Michelins! I love them! This is the first time purchasing this model...but they are great. I'm a single mom of 2 girls....I do my research before I make a big purchase or invest my hard-earned money on anything....these tires provide a lot of bang for the buck!! I own a Nissan Xterra, and I do a lot of highway traveling as well as some off-road driving. These tires feel great on the highway, handling the road very well....and they feel great off road, handling the crazy deep sand along the lake on our weekend camping trips. The last set of Michelins on this vehicle were more of a "highway" tire, but even though these tires are more "aggressive", I haven't noticed a change in my gas mileage...but do have an easier time getting to some of our more remote favorite spots! It's great having tires on my vehicle that I can trust to carry my girls and me to wherever our next adventure leads us!!

NOT LAST LONGER

I bought a brand new 2017 Toyota Tundra TRD PRO and the car came with LTX A/T2 installed. I use the car most part of time in urban areas, with very light weight. Eventually I am travelling using good roads. All inspections have been conducted by authorized Toyota Dealer where the car was acquired, and tires are rotated according to Toyota maintenance schedule. Apart of that I calibrate the tires every 2 or 3 weeks. Now the car has about 20K miles and tires are nearly bald.

Never Buy anything else but Michelin

Had a 2005 Chevy 05/2500 HD that I needed to replace the original tires that came on it at about 30,000 miles. I used my truck for pulling a 10,000 lb fifth wheel, plowing a 300 foot steep driveway and worried about the replacement tires I was going to need. After looking at all the available tires to put on my truck, I chose Michelin LTX A/T2 after reading reviews for the right tire and couldn't have made a better choice. They fit all the requirements I wanted in a tire, quiet ride, longevity, traction in all condition and peace of mind knowing the Michelin name was on them, which I was proud of. I can't say a bad thing about them and will put another set on my new truck. In all honesty, living in the Berkshires requires a tire that you can depend on, the weather conditions we have here go from one extreme to another. So don't make the wrong choice, make the Michelin choice !

101,000 miles

I just bought a new set of Michelin LTX AT2 tires because I got 101,000+ miles from the first set I had on my 2012 2500HD Chevy truck. I watched the inflation and rotation schedule. I had one flat the whole time. Thank you Michelin for a wonderful product.

Very poor tread life

Bought these for my 2014 Ram 1500 Crew Cab (275/60 20) less than 2 years ago. They barely have 18,000 miles on them. Rotated every 5k. Show even wear, but they don't appear to be safe for this winter. The outside grove is nearly gone (tread is not as deep on shoulders).
