[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited about having a mattress protector that would completely encase the entire mattress. While this AllerEase Ultimate Cotton Mattress Protector served that purpose, it's the only positive thing I can say about it. Before putting it on the mattress, I checked to see if the top of the protector was truly waterproof by placing a paper towel on the underside and pouring a couple of tablespoons of water on the top side. Sadly, it is Not WaterProof. It is Water Resistant - the water formed droplets when it hit the fabric, but within 30 seconds it went through the protector and soaked into the paper towel. In the interest of writing this review, with the help of a friend, I proceeded to put the cover on my mattress. Putting it on the mattress requires 2 people, as the mattress needs to stand on end. There is tag that identifies the closed top portion of the protector. which needs proper placement on the upper end of the mattress. Once the top portion is properly in place, the remainder of the protector is a bit easier, as the zipper is open. However, both the plastic underside & cotton top side of this protector are Very Thin, so putting it on was slow going for fear of tearing the protector. Next step was to zipper the 2 sides shut, which should have been easier, however. there is a 1 1/2" flap of plastic material on one side of the zipper which slowed the process, as we had to make sure it didn't get stuck in the zipper. As previously stated, the cotton material that covers the plastic on the top side of the protector is Extremely Thin, resulting in an annoying "sleeping on plastic" noise that could be heard through the bottom sheet every time I moved. I have never had a bed bug problem so I cannot speak about the effectiveness of the mattress protector where keeping out bugs is concerned. I do have allergy issues and wake up with a stuffy nose every morning. I was hoping this mattress protector would alleviate that problem, but I will never know for sure, because the noise from the plastic interrupted my ability to sleep soundly. I removed the cover the next day & donated it to a non profit organization.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This mattress cover seems well made. The zippers function well and the corners easily fit over the mattress corners. The cover itself appears substantial yet feels smooth and does not form lumps or creases under your sheets. The manufacturer claims the fabric help protect against mattress allergies from dust etc. I do not suffer from allergies so it is difficult to personally verify their allergy claim, but I was unable to detect any "mattress odors" through the protector. Bottom line... The product does protect your mattress, goes over your mattress easily, is comfortable under your sheets and certainly did not detract from obtaining a sound sleep.

After purchasing a new mattress I needed to make sure that I had a mattress protector to protect my child who has allergies and asthma. Once again, Allerease has the exact product I needed. The mattress protector was easy to put on and the zipper was a good quality with a smooth zip.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our queen size bed is 60X80 Posturepedic pillow top mattress and is 13 in tall. We took all bedding off of the bed and proceeded to open the box and remove the mattress cover. The cover was tightly packed so my husband had to help me remove it from the box. It unfolded easy and we opened the zipper on the cover. We stood the mattress up so we were able to place the cover over the mattress and then laid the mattress back on the bed. I started to zip the cover and got the zipper caught in the material my husband was able to back up the zipper, get the material out of the zipper and proceeded to close the zipper without any more difficulty. After closing the zipper he remarked that he liked the velcro flap to hide the zipper. We put the bottom sheet on and I laid on the bed and noticed an air bubble meaning the mattress cover was pretty air tight which would deter bed bugs from getting in. We proceeded to finish making the bed. I took pictures as we went along so you can see the product more clearly. The total time to strip the bed and add the new cover and make the bed was 20 minutes. There was plenty of room left for a taller mattress. I would purchase again for my other beds but do miss the cloth feeling and when moving on the bed you heard the plastic rustle.

I love that it is a zippered mattress pad as well. It is also waterproof which is fantastic when you have kids and pets! I would definitely recommend this mattress pad to anyone looking for a great mattress pad.

It's very low key also, I don't notice its there and its super comfortable to sleep with, just place a bed cover on top and you're set.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great mattress protector. Easy assemble, Instructions suggest that you do it with two people but I was able to handle alone. Can’t really tell its under the the sheet set so it’s nice and conspicuous. It does make a little bit of noise when you sit on it but not as much as other protectors I have used so I do like that is quieter but it’s is still noticeable. My allergies would act up at night, sniffles, itchy eyes etc. but I haven’t had that issue since putting the protector on. With my state being a bedbug hot zone I also appreciate you the extra protection.

I like that it is a allergen barrier which is important to me. My family suffers from allergies and this mattress protector helps That. It is well made and I like cotton top.
