[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This wine was my favorite! It had a perfect taste and all the flavors seemed to mix well. I could have kept drinking this wine all night. I drank this wine with buttery crackers and sharp white cheddar cheese, as well as green grapes. The aroma of this wine was a bit stronger than the other wines I tried. I will definitely have this wine again!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Robert Mondavi's Private Selection Rum Barrel-Aged Merlot with rich aromas of molasses and maple, and flavors of plum and blueberry. Very sweet and absolutely delightful. I enjoyed experiencing the unique flavors added by aging this Merlot in Rum barrels. I think this would pair very well with spicy dishes, like jerk chicken or Korean short ribs. I look forward to trying this again at my next gathering!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We didn’t know how the rum would fare mixed with wine, but we were pleasantly surprised! I’m not the biggest Merlot fan as I don’t love sweet wines, but this was delightful with some subtle coconut, blueberry, and cigar ash notes. Aroma wise; I picked up plum, vanilla, and even a tad bit of floral. The wine was well balanced and easy to drink- would pair well with a creamy cheese or juicy steak. It was dark purple, soft on the mouth, and a smooth long finish. Though not my favorite in this Robert Mondavi line, I would absolutely drink this again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was super bummed out when the liquor store said that the distributor (which is the only liquor distributor for the liquor stores for nearby counties) doesn’t carry the Rum Barrel-Aged Merlot, and the Rye-Barrel-Aged Red Blend (which I really, REALLY wanted to try) was on back order until who-knows-when… the only one they had was the Bourbon-Barrel Aged Cabernet Sauvignon. I know this isn’t a proper review (trust me, I would have LOVED to have given one!) but its all I got.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Robert Mondavi merlot is one of the best I have tasted. This merlot is so smooth and full bodied. I enjoy this wine with steak, pasta and cheese. It has notes of berries and chocolate and I love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Robert Mondavi Rum Barrel-Aged Merlot was the least favorite of the three wines. It was still tasty, but it had a stronger liquor smell and taste than the others. It also had more of an aftertaste. We thought it paired very nicely with dark chocolate.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I served the Rum Barrel-Aged Merlot at a dinner party with my mother. While I have never enjoyed Merlot, I may have to make an exception. It paired nicely with the tomato pasta sauce I made, and it did well in balancing the fruity blueberry and plum with the notes of coconut and molasses. I'll definitely have to buy it for the next time my mother visits!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sadly this one was a little too dry for me. My friends enjoyed it a little more than me but I was happy to drink it also. It was drinkable with some beautiful fruits and a selection of cheese. Very smokey and rich!
