[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was still a bit stronger then I’m use too but it wasn’t bad I’m just more into the smoother wines but the aroma was very nice and the taste was alright but it was pretty ok just not my type of flavor but always great to try new things

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The verdict on this one is that no one in our party was a fan of this merlot. The aroma matched perfectly with the flavor! Fruity and dry was the overall consensus of the flavors in this wine. It had a very bitter aftertaste and a bit of a burn. This paired with a blueberry goat cheese and a brie, which actually went well with the wine, though the wine was not a good enough flavor to warrant a second glass or the desire to purchase this again. It’s a no for these wine connoisseurs!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was in the mood for salmon and had to pair it with the right Robert Mondavi Wine. I did a little research and found out Merlot was the one to go with. As I took my first sip of wine I instantly tasted the blueberry and plum. This wine in particular had more sweetness in comparison to other brands I've had however, it was welcomed. Usually, Merlots tend to be the heaviest for me when it comes to reds. I was surprised it was the opposite, it was by far the smoothest merlot I have ever drunk. With the lightness, it paired perfectly with my salmon and made my dinner for two a hit! #RobertMondaviPrivateSelection

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a smooth wine. I never really drink Merlot but this one had a great taste and went well with our steaks for dinner. You can definitely taste the barrel aged on it and that's what gives it a great taste. No nasty after taste. A great wine to enjoy after work to relax.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I know you should have a favorite child but in this instance, this l this merlot came in 2nd to the Cab, in my opinion. The flavor profile didn't match the description on the bottle. I think the description was better suited for the Cab. The merlot was semi dry but you can definitely taste the rum essence within the wine. it took me a few days up get used to the flavor profile. i think the aeration helps. it took me 3 days to drink and by the third day it was smoother to drink. i paired the wine with different meals/snacks, one fish dish with brussel sprouts, the other with cheese, chocolate and crackers. I think it tasted it's best with the snack over the meal. If I purchase again I would try to cook with it to see how well it reduces down.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am not a huge Merlot fan but I did enjoy this Merlot. Maybe because it Rum Barrel Aged, and I love rum, but the aroma was beautiful and the finish was smooth, so I would recommend especially for Merlot fans.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Robert Mondavi Private Selection Rum Barrel-Aged Merlot is a very smooth wine. You can enjoy the flavor that the rum barrel adds to this wine! Mild yet aromatic flavor. Paired well with steak and baked potatoes. Highly recommended ?!!!

This is great with red meats for dinner or just alone to enjoy with a nice movie. There is a rich blueberry flavor to it as well as a hint of rum and coconut. I just love sitting back and enjoying the smooth flavor of this wine.
