20000 mile review

I bought these energy saving A/S for 2011 CRV. These tires ride comfortably. The tread wear is between 7/32 and 8/32 at 20000 miles. I should get close to the 65,000 mile guarantee. The gas mileage is not great on the interstate. I get about 25 mpg+/-. I drive the speed limit plus 5 mph+ over. If I stayed at the posted speed limit, I could do better. I will wear this set out, but I will certainly consider the defender the next time. The energy saver a/s 225/65/17 only has a 100 T rating. This was the only tire available in Michelin, when I bought them in February 2012. The defender comes with the 102 T rating and a 90000 mile warranty. The price differential is not that much more between the two tires, so both will be considered at the next tire purchase. Overall great tire. I have had the tires rotated every 6, 000 miles and have had the alignment checked twice a year.

Good Choice for 2010 Prius

Only put about 700 mi on these yet, so jury is still out. But based on a tank and a half, it seems these are getting exactly the same gas mileage as the Yokohama Avid S33s that came original on the car. Those lasted 42000 about the same I would expect from the Michelins. Energy Saver A/S seems quieter and smoother, but maybe any new tires would. Steering seems slightly more responsive than the Yokohamas. Mileage for both brands on my 2010 Prius averages 51-52 freeway (when the trip is at least 100 miles) and 44-45 when most trips are 3-7 miles. Nothing to complain about, so far.

Long term review 4.5 years, 51k miles honda accord

Orginal tires on 2014 honda accord hybrid. Tires are quiet for the first 2.5-3 years, noise gets louder as it wears around 42k. Not happy in wet weather seems to hydroplane in real wet weather in california, new and older. Wear is good and still have tread at 51k but looking to change tires this winter to another version of michelin. Gas mileage average i saw no significant difference from what the vehicle new car sticker stated. Overall ride intially are great and smooth and fair. Lightly stiff ride and firm great traction on dry roads and corners good.

Not The Best Michelin I have owned

My 2018 Ford Escape came with the Energy Saver A/S as OEM Equipment. I have owned Michelin Tires since the 80’s. When my OEM tires need to be replaced I always use Michelin. This Escape is also my 4th Escape since 2013. The 2018 rides the most unsettled of all the Escapes I have owned. I had a shake in one tire from the beginning, had it balanced on a road force balancing machine and they determined a flat spot on the same tire. The tires make a whopping noise as you go down the road. They have been rotated 3 times in 19000 miles and are wearing evenly. I have the Michelin Defender T&H on another vehicle I own and Find these tires to be fantastic. Smooth and quiet. I strongly recommend the Defender T&H vs the Energy Saver A/S

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, Escaped. We would recommend getting a tire inspection at an authorized dealer. Please have the dealer contact us at 866-866-6605 to report their findings.

Grooved pavement nightmare in rain

Echoing Tom's review, I hit a long freeway stretch of grooved pavement in the rain, and same skating, dancing around behaviour. Hwy 401, 100km/hr limit but other cars were doing 120. I slowed to 80 with flashers. Still skating but less badly ... I had to exit and take side roads. So much for energy efficiency! And scary. New Nissan Leaf, maybe 300 km on the tires.

Replaced these as they were OEM. Wouldn't recommend.

I replaced the OEM Energy Saver A/S with the same tires. They must have changed something as these tires are VERY NOISY. Very unhappy with them. I have tried having them rotated after 1000 miles to see if that made a difference. It didn't. Going to try ro replace them under the Promise Plan, but, I have a feeling its going to cost me a lot of money to replace these NEW tire.

100% met my expectations

Original tires on a 2017 Accord Hybrid. Got 63,500 miles out of them. Had them rotated every 8,000-10,000 miles. Not a rabbit starter nor a speed demon, but as much as possible, just a gradual start, ease to speed limit. Tires are expensive and gas is expensive in California, so will not blame the tire if I am to blame for being a wasteful driver. MPG of 49 (6+ years worth of tracking every fill-up). Met my expectations for my daily, lengthy commute. I would say I got great value from them. Sure, I wish I hit 70K on mileage, but the tires were getting up there in age, so a good time to replace. Thanks.

Not Expected from Michelin

Got these on my Honda and they did NOT last at all. Only got a little over 25K before at 3/32. I was expecting a lot better from this premium brand. Will not buy or recommend to anyone one these. Will see how they handle warranty on these to determine if they are brand worthy to me.

Needs improvement

I have had the tires for 24,700 miles now and just noticed that 2 tires are beginning to fail. Both failing tires have small side wall bulges appearing. The tires do not show any damage (scrapes or dents). I will say that I do like the overall performance and tread life I have experience with the tires all tires have even wear and have been rotated every 7,500 miles and balanced checked every 15,000. Unfortunately they are outside the range for my road hazard warranty and due to the sidewall failure they wont last anywhere near the expected/rated 65,000 miles. Until they strengthen/reinforce the tire I do not think I will be buying another set.

chris28, we recommend taking the tires to your local retailer, the selling dealer if possible, for an inspection of the tires. The tires may need to be demounted for an inspection of the liner. Please have your retailer contact us at 866-866-6605 while you are there with the vehicle if there are questions. One of our Consumer Care team members will follow up with you.

New tires for my Mustang

My 2011 Mustang came equipped with Michelin Energy Saver A/S tires. These tires performed VERY well even during winter driving with a rear wheel drive vehicle. I was also very pleased with how long they lasted. When it came time to replace the original tires I insisted on Michelin and was able to get the same tire as had originally come with the vehicle when purchased new.
