Great tires; Sam's price is best!

Our 2008 Saturn Outlook came out of the factory with a set of these tires and we drove 55,000 miles before needing to replace them. When I went to a GM dealership to order a new set, the staff pushed back, trying to get us to buy a cheaper, foreign-made brand. After standing firm and insisting on a quote for the Goodyear Fortera tires, the dealership finally gave me one and it was ridiculous. They told me if I could find a better price, they'd match it. I checked out Sam's Club and other local tire dealers; Sam's came in at $100 LESS PER TIRE for the same exact tire. I took that info back to the dealership and they shook their heads and said they couldn't do any better than that. So we became Sam's tire customers. :-) We have been extremely happy with the service at Sam's; free tire rotation/balance every 5,000 is wonderful. And when one of the tires got punctured in a construction zone during a cross-country trip, a year after purchasing the tires, a Sam's Club on our route did a safety check of the vehicle for us (a piece of metal was lodged in the tire, so we had a slow leak, but were able to drive 400 more miles on it), and our local Sam's replaced the tire for free. These tires perform great in New England snowstorms, Southern rain, and all types of driving conditions in between. We've put another 55,000 miles on our second set of these tires and are placing an order for our third set!

Very Good Tire

I have had three Chevy Traverse LTs and the tires have always performed as advertised. I rotate and balance my tires every 5000 miles, keep tire pressures between 32 to 34 pounds, and no cupping has occurred. I live in country use a lot of gravel topped roads. But, I have not had any issues with tires. I have put over 70,000 miles on each set of tires. Excellent traction, very low road noise. I would not change a thing. Like a customer stated above, I found these tires at Sam's (First place I go to get all vehicle tires whether for cars or trucks). Maintaining proper tire pressure, balancing on each rotation, and rotating every 5000 miles have ensured I have gotten over 70,000 miles on each set of tires.

These Tires Make Me Safer

I purchased FOUR new tires for my GMC Acadia online on the Sam's Club website. They were the same exact model of tire that came with the car when it was new. However, these tires hug the road SO MUCH BETTER! I don't know why, but with the original tires, I would slip and skid on wet pavement from day one. I thought it had something to do with the vehicle itself. After Sam's Club in Annapolis installed for new tires though, it feels like I'm driving an entirely different car! I feel so much safer now on the road because I'm getting better traction! The attendants at Sam's Club were so helpful, prompt and very kind. Whenever I need new tires for another vehicle, I'm going back to Sam's Club!

Not bad so far

The tires appear to be wearing well and they do not make too much noise. They have good dry weather and wet weather traction and I did not have any problems in a recent 1 inch snow. I have not hydroplaned using them, and I tend to try to drive through the puddles. They do not make much noise in regular conditions, but when driving through snow they made quite a bit of noise compared to another vehicle with Michelin tires. I think Goodyear has a monopoly on the tire size, so the price is ridiculously high compared to some smaller truck tires.

Rediculous tire

I wish I would have realized that GoodYear seems to have a monopoly on this tire size when I bought my Saturn Outlook. These tires have a lot of road noise and wear quicly. Other than that, they perform OK, but the price of the tires is rediculously high because they only other tire company that makes a tire in this size is Cooper and everyone is constantly out of those tires because they are 1/2 the price. I have now tried the cooper tires and they perform as well as these tires....too bad Sam's won't carry them.

Tires wear too quick and high price

These tires are quiet for up to 20k mileage then they start making road noise. Mine have worn out at 38k, too soon as these tires are expensive. Since I could not find other tire brands at Sam's Club, I had to go with Hankook Ventus. This size is also hard to find. It seems only Good Year, Hankook, and Cooper having this size for the all season/touring series. Fire Stone has made a same size but for the snow season. I wish that either Good Year should have made these tires last for at least 50k miles or SC should sell other brands at this size.

Want a better tire

This tire is presently on our vehicle and I wanted to change to a Michilen. This tire is noisy, rough and loud. I had the car checked to see if there was a bad bearing in the front. After thorough checking they said it was the tires. Do you have a Michileen for this vehicle? It's a 2008 GMC Acadia.

Cupping roadnoise and premature wear.

These tires came with our Saturn Outlook which is also a GMC Acadia. When we bought the vehicle used at 27,000 miles, we mentioned vibration to the service department at Quantrell Cadillac in Lexington KY. They found nothing wrong. It was only after the bumper to bumper warranty expired that we discovered that this tire can have issues with cupping. By then neither Quantrell, nor GM would do anything about the issue. With these tires, the car also slides sideways on turns at low speed when the roads are wet, even though the traction control is on. Both GM and Goodyear have to have known that there were issues with this tire. I'll never buy a GM or Goodyear product again as they were unwilling to stand by their products when there was a known problem.

Original Tires

This tire came on my Acadia and I see from the description they are supposed to have a 60,000 mile warranty. Mine are worn out at 27,000 miles and the dealership told me that I would need to change them at 25,000 miles. I had them at the dealership about 5000 miles ago because of a bumping sensation since then they are loud.
