We have had a lot of power outages in the past year. I had a small generator, but wouldn't handle everything, I would have to shut off things then turn on things. With the New bigger model I can run everything ! Easy to put together, easy to run ! So glad I made this purchase !!!! My small generator is a General, had great experience with it, so that is why I recommend General !!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] this generator is like a monster machine,it a little bit loud but it works well.It came with battery, oil and tire,also had the hardware for installation.just had storm few days ago and knocked power so and it ran freezer,tv,fridge and lights with no problem.Overall excellent machine.This generator is more than enough to power my entire house.

I was able to get the wheels on with ease by putting the unit on its side. A little hard to put the oil in and I got oil everywhere. surprised that Gererac did not include a disposable funnel. Unit is easy to move around and lighter that I thought it would be. Started right up. Like the fact that you can recharge the battery throughout the unit which is easy. It's everything that I wanted and a good value. signed>A happy camper.

After only 75 hours of operation, my generator control panel caught fire at the 230VAC outlet. I took it to an authorized service center in September, where I was told it would be covered under the warranty. It is January and I am still waiting for the repair to be completed. Otherwise it is a great generator. I bought 2 more, 1 for each of my 2 sons. I just wish the warranty service was more timely.

I would just like to thank you for making a affordable generator for home use. I purchased this unit and brought it home and promptly assembled it. I assembled it in no time with all of the parts being there. Now, I was ready to gas it up and see how it worked but I had one problem I could not get it off the truck. Finally, friends came by and helped me unload it. Gassed and oiled it up and the moment of truth was near, two tries and she fired up. I ran it at my daughters outside wedding for 7 hours and not a problem nor a leak. Touch loud but live able and just wish it had two handles for easier mobility. Thanks again and you can't go wrong with this generator. PS. Thanks for including a charger for the battery.

I purchased the Generac GP8000E after doing alot of research with several other brands. I am not disappointed, from the moment I started to unpack the generator I noticed the quality of the packaging, which gave me confidence in the product right off the bat. The engineering made assembly very easy! You notice the quality in every part as you put this baby together. The quality shows that Generac and its associates genuinely care about the product they put out to the consumer.

Recently bought a gererac gp6500e after my old one of 20 years quit on me. Wanted an electric start option, which this one has and I also wanted more watts. Went from 5000 to this 6500. Although I have only had it a couple of months, I did get it oiled up, gassed up, and got it running. Ran great, less noisy than my old one and can run most everything in the house. Time will tell but so far it seems to be what the doctor ordered.

I looked extensively at generators prior to making my purchase and this one had more features and value for the price. Was very easy to set up and start up can be done by anyone. Would recommend this product to anyone looking for a portable generator.

I bought the GP8000E about 6 months ago for my house, I liked Generac so much that I just bought a GP2200i 9/12/2018 and received it today 9/15/2018. I just put oil in it, and going to get some gasoline. This one is for my tools (drills, circular saws etc.) I like Generac products. My generator is assembled and ready to run. I have not fueled it as of yet. But crankcase is full and I will be fueling it when needed. I do not like storing power equipment with gas. I keep it in a dry shed under look and key. Back in Ohio we installed a 22KW in our home; it was reliable And ran flawlessly. I purchased this GP6500 as protection from power loss. Based on previous experiences with GENERAC. looking for many years of service. Truly Rick D.
