Louisiana doesn't require the emissions control features this generator has. The only reason we bought this generator was because it was the only one available that day. Would have preferred a less features, however it worked like a champ.

It has worked well since purchased. We feel very confident that it will meet all our requirements. I have recommended this unit to 2 friends, one of which is seriously considering a purchase of an identical unit.

an excellent machine - power, easy start- easy maintnenance. one minor problem - time meter was faulty and was replaced under warranty. Otherwise a "ten"

I purchased this generac for portable home use. We lose power frequently and having an option to use almost everything in conjunction with an interlocking kit comes in handy.

Not much time on it yet. Under half hour. So far seems to have plenty of power to do what i need. Power dont go out too much but gonna buy a transfer pannel for the house so i can power it when needed as my main purpose is for the sump pump.

I just purchased this generator earlier this month and have not had a chance/need to use it. Assembly was minimal and easy. My # evaluation is just a guess as I have not used the generator yet.

From the time I opened the box, I new it was going to be a good day. Easy assembly, nice looking and ready to go. After I did the preliminary's the generac started right away. Worked as expected. Tks Generac....

The product is great, dependable, sturdy, ease of movement and durable ! Starting is a breeze and ease of access to panel , functions gas and oil ! Highly recommend .... dont sacrifice quality for cheaper priced counterparts !

The 6500E has sufficient power to provide for the essentials of this household. It has the ease of starting to fill in within the time constraints of an emergency. It should meet our needs for years to come.

Never owned my own generator. Have had to rent in the past. Decided to purchase my own to have for power outages. Haven't used yet, but from other reviews, I know it will be easy to operate and fulfill my needs.
