My previous set of tires were Michelin. They were rated for 70,000 miles and I got 90,000 miles out of them. I only replaced them because I was driving and pulling a trailer from Milwaukee to Detroit, and winter is coming. I probably had another 10,000+ miles on them.

My new LTS M/S tires look much better than the sample picture Michelin has posted. The sidewalls have a nice look and the tread looks better. If these tires get the miles that Michelin claims, and if all the positive reviews I have read are true, than I may be one happy new tire buyer. I will let you all know if I get the 60k+ miles in a few years.

The LTX MS are the best tires I have ever used in my 28 year driving experience in terms mileage and overall performance. They could be a little quieter. The tires were the original equipment for my 2009 Honda Ridgeline. I am now on 97,500 miles and the tires have not yet reached the wear indicators. I must admit that I am driving 80% highway in Florida and the tires are not being abused by offroad and winter conditions. Handling is great and you could not expect a better performance on wet roads including summer tropical down pours that we experience in Florida. Great product.

I have driven on a set of LTX-MS on my 98' Expedition for approximately 6 years. The tires have performed superbly in handling, wear and ride comfort. I have not driven this vehicle off-road, but feel that these tires would hold their own in an off-road environment.

The LTX is by far the best tires I have ever owned. My first set of LTX was bought used from A friend I worked with and when I bought the tires they had 50,000 miles on them and still looked new. I put another 100,000 miles on them!!! Thats right I got 150,000 miles out of one set of tires and they still have 1/4 inch deep tread and I'm still using them on and old project truck. The only reason I changed the tires was due to age and some weather cracks on side walls other wise I would still have them on the truck and I'm willing to bet I could get 200,000 miles out of them. Needless to say I purchased a new set of the LTX for the old truck also I brought a set of LTX for my full size van. I have a set of Michelin on my car and as soon as I save up enough money you can bet I will be buying a set of LTX for my other 4x4 truck!! For me the Michelin LTX has made a believer out of me to be the best truck or van tire you can buy!!! Excellent tire once they are Road Force balanced. Both my 4runner and GX470 needed this service. Very few garages offer it, it is a balance machine made by Bear. I tried a garage with a snap-on balancer (TWICE) and a garage with a new Coats balancer- it still shook. The ROAD FORCE balance worked like a charm.

My Dad was an avid advocate of Michelin tires all my years growing up. They were the only tires he would buy. I myself however thought tires were tires, as long as they were round and held air who cares. When I was in my early twentys I started my own contracting business and spent a lot of time on construction sites. Needless to say I also spent a lot of time changing flats, due to nails and other construction debris, and a lot of time purchasing tires every year or so. Flash forward fifteen years or so and picture yourself in the high speed lane of a four lane highway during rush hour running around 70 mph. Suddenly and without any indication of a problem my left rear tire blew. Somehow I managed to get over through two lanes of traffic just as the lanes split, two lanes each way and into the center area of the split where I came to a stop. As I sat there trying to gather myself, my now deceased fathers words echoed in my head. Because so much is riding on your tires! It's the perfect slogan, mostly because it's true, but obviously I never got the picture like I'm sure a lot of others haven't. Since that day, now twenty years ago, I'm an avid Michelin fan. In the past twenty years since I've been driving on Michelins I've had three seperate instances were I'm quite convinced that if I had any other tires I possibly woundn't be here to write this review. I preach to all my family and friends that besides the safety factor I haven't had a flat tire in twenty years, and I only have to mess with buying tires every five or six years. You guys make an amazing product and as a consumer it's nice to be able to purchase what I consider to be a life safety product and do it with complete confidence. Please never compromise your quality for your bottom line as I have seen happen with other so called top of the line products.

I purchased these tires for my FWD Honda Element in 2006. They have lasted me about 120,000 miles and 8 years. There are sometimes it was poor in snow, but I always made it through. This is a good long lasting tire. Since they longer make it in my size I now have the Latitude Tour, and will use winter tires in the winter.

Purchased Defender LTX M/S for my 2016 Highlander in September, 2019. After 30,000 miles, I highly recommend. Great in snow, wet, dry conditions. Very secure on the road. Quiet! Low rolling friction which has increased gas mileage by 1 to 1 1/2 mpg. I expect to get 70K + tread wear.

I've had these tires on my 2015 F250 since July , thought maybe they would get better but no hope. I've bought Michelins for the last 23 yrs , a new set about every 14-15 months. These Defenders are worse tires ever , VERY bad ride , I always bought Michelin for the soft ride and road handling. But never another set of Defenders. If the didn't cost so much I would change them out now.
