Poor performance!!

Went to the dealer for a 27,00 mile service and was told I would have to replace my tires at the end of the lease. The lease expires in December 2019. I have leased cars and SUV's for over 35 years and never had to replace tires before I returned the car. That is why I lease cars!!

5 Star performance. --- LOW TREADLIFE

I bought these tires for the exceptional handling in both wet and dry conditions. Probably the best cornering traction of any all season SUV tire produced. Im no expert, but I DRIVE my vehicle. If you want to grab a corner, stick it, and enjoy your drive, these will satisfy. I think Michelin needs to reduce the expected treadlife of these tires, because they do not last as advertised. We will see if they care. Rather

Nice tire, but a 60K tire worn out at 40K miles? Bad...

Took in our 2017 Lexus RX350 F-sport for maintenance, and I was notified that our car, with 40k miles on it, needs new tires very soon. Sure enough, I checked, and the tread is nearly gone...this is on tires that are supposed to last 60k miles? That just plain sucks. The tire itself performs well, but the longevity for a supposedly premium tire is garbage. Tires are original from car that was purchased brand new.

Not good tire life

I have put Michelin tires in the past on two Grand Cheerokees and a Ford Explorer. I replaced them with over 50,000 miles on the tires. Mainly because I live in snow country and trade the vehicle with 90,000 miles. The Ford dealership put the Premiers on my new 2018 Edge in place of the Hancooks which were garbage. The Premier performance was good however I need to replace them with 30,000 miles on them. They were also louder than the other Michelins. I plan on staying with Michelin because of my past experiences with them. I am installing the Latitude Tour HP for the better comfort and ride quietness even though the tire life will be shorter than the Defender.

Poor tread wear

Tires were purchased on recommendation and seemed to initially have good reviews. Tires performed fine when new. Tires have worn to < 2/32 within 32k miles with scheduled rotations and proper maintenance. Very disappointed in life of tires when Michelin claims to be a 60k tire. Too expensive to replace half way through the expected tire life.

Premier LTX Tires wear out far too quickly

These were the factory installed tires on our new 2018 Chevy Equinox. We now have a little over 25,000 kms on the vehicle of which only about 21,000 kms were with the Premier LTX tires ( we had winter tires on the vehicle for 4.5 months). Yesterday (exactly one year to the day we picked up our new vehicle) we had our winter tires reinstalled, and the front tires on the Premier LTX tires showed wear to the point where the Service Manager questioned whether they could be reinstalled next spring. The rear tires were worn down to 5/32 which also would indicate rapid wear against the rating of 100,000 kms on these tires.

Terrible wear

These tires came as original equipment on my Cadillac XT5 and after around 30,000 miles, the front tires are chipping, and the tread is very low. Certainly not what I expect from a 60,000-mile tire. I have had regular service from the Cadillac dealership where I purchased the car.

Poor tread ware

I have been a Michelin guy since I purchased my F150 in 2010. I now have 253,000 miles and most sets of Michelin tires yielded 65k to78k. This set of Premier LTX 265/60R18 is riding hard at 22K with 5/32" left of tread. They will be smooth about 40K. What happened to the great tires Michelin used to make?

Terrible Tires -Do Not Buy

I have owned my 2019 Cadillac XT5 for two months, just had to replace a tire already. My car only has 19,000 miles on it. There was a metal object that tore the side wall and could not be replaced. You would think the tire would be prorated and pay the difference for a replacement tire, but not that did not happen. Had to spend a lot of money having it replaced. I was also told at Cadillac that the tires will only last about another 10,000 miles and should be replaced. In other word's these tires are only made to last 30,000 miles and not 60,000 as specified. I have always been a fan of Michelin tires but now I am very disappointed to say the least.

Joe, I see that you have been in contact with our Consumer Care Team. Based on the inspection we received, there is between 5 and 7/32 of tread remaining on your tires. If we can be of further assistance, give us a call at 866-866-6605. Thanks!

Great tire for the right car and driver

I have a 2010 Nissan Murano LE - No contest the best tire for this car. Traction, smoothness, noise. I realize this are an expensive set and so longevity is a factor for most. I was a store manager for a very large tire chain company. Unfortunately a great tire is not a great tire for every model car. Some cars will wear tires faster than other cars, and some tires will last less on certain cars. Longevity not being a factor that can be measured equally on all cars- this tire is exceptional for handling and smoothness. Keep in mind that it is a V rated tire, made for a high performance vehicle and suspension. Some SUV's and Trucks will not have such a suspension and will wear the tire. This is a soft rubber tire made for grip, hard side walls made for handling. Concerning my car, I am very happy, no contest really. Make use of Walmart's lifetime balance, and rotate your tires about every 5000 miles if mostly highway driving, if city driving, about every 3000 miles. Again, soft rubber, great traction, be gentle on the gas, but if you want performance, it is there for you too! Great M
