Good tire but really short treadlife

Got a set of these in 2016. Just changed them out today. They ran great up until this winter when I checked the tread depth and they were all 3/32”. I could definitely notice sliding that wasn’t there last winter during our last snowfall. They are rated 600 but run more like a 500. Awesome tires for the first year though!

Great Traction, Short Life

I am an older female from the SF Bay Area. I drive a lot of miles alone visiting family in western states of NV, Utah and AZ. Safety is important to me and I was especially interested in the wear performance of these tires - that they would continue to protect me as the tread wore down. I drove in heavy rain with an inch of water on the road and felt absoluetly planted on the surface - like I was driving on dry ground. However, after 1 year and 28,000 miles I am down to the wear marks. The tires did not last. They still grip the road though like new - last week I drove through rain, snow and hail and the tires felt very secure.

More...Michelin Premier LTX tires worn out at 20,600 mi

We are truly shocked about the tread wear on our Michelin Premier LTX 235/65R/18 tires on our 2017GMC Acadia. Our car servicing report from a few months back indicated we were at 4/32” tread depth. The tires have 20,600 miles on them and it's been suggested we replace them! I have spent hours reading negative reviews about hundreds of people with this same issue. We bought the car used with 14,000 miles so I am sure Michelin will eliminate us from any sort of credit for new tires. We have enjoyed Michelin tires many times prior but not this time. The problem is with these prematurely worn out Michelin tires at 20,600 miles – not with the fact that we purchased a 2017 Acadia! Help?

Nice Tire for 2012 Honda Odyssey Touring Elite

Replaced worn Primacy MXV4 tires today. Had new Premier LTX tires installed and road forced balanced today. They road very smooth home with no road noise noticeable. I think they will be a great tire and look great too. I read a lot of reviews from people about this tire on other sites that some people don't like this tire for one reason or another. Some will make comments like "I don't slow down when I take corners and this tire is loud or doesn't hug the road, etc." I am 41 years old with a wife and 5 young kids. I drive like a responsible driver and safety of my family and comfort of ride are my top concerns.

Warranty Replacement

Original purchase of 4 new Premier LTX tires in April 2016. After about 15K milesin November, I was experiencing excessive road noise and reduced gas mileage. MICHELIN arranged assessment of the tires at a local dealer Determination was made to replace all 4 tires as a customer satisfaction issue I paid only for the installation (mount / balance and install) Very pleased with the response -

Michelin Premier LTX

I purchased these for my 2012 Chevy Colorado because of the wet weather traction and wear out warranty being 60,000 miles. Wet weather traction has been great, long term wear not so much, I have almost 20,000 miles and I am almost to replacement time, sorry not good.

Cheyennesport, as previously advised, there is a mileage warranty on your tires. Once the tires are worn out, the selling retailer should be able to initiate a mileage warranty claim based on the mileage you received. Have the dealer give us a call with any questions.

Worn out around 40km

The tire wire out at the 40km and our two years Cadillac car failed the safety certificate check today and I had to chang the tire immediately in order to process lease buyout. It is a surprise that such a premium tire with 100k warranty failed after normal city road drive at 40k. Very disappointed and this also drive inconvenience for our schedule a lot (extract work days and money to change new tires).

Won't last another year

I thought great wear, so pay a little more and not worry about tires. Nope. not working. The tires barely have 10k kms on them and they are half worn out. They are good on wet roads and light slush, so I have a little confidence in them. I have had the alignment done 2x, was out .5 degree the first time, not out at all the second time. I have rotated them 2x also. I seems they are great for highways in a straight line with not many turns. Roads have a lot of turns in BC, so I guess that is why they can't take it. I have gone to Chinese (Westlake) winter tires at 1/3 the price and they are going to outlast the premium Michelins by quite a bit. Lesson learned. I used to drive 80k a year, on gravel, on trails, in Northern Alberta, and Michelins were the only tire that could take it, and last. Not anymore, and that is for sure. I am now retired and don't drive much anymore, maybe 8k a year.

Poor Tread Life

This is my third leased Audi Q5 and 6th leased vehicle. It is the first time with Michelin tires (Premier LTX 235/55R19). I have never had to replace my tires before the lease was up - always 4 years. I have 48,000 klm on these tires and told they need replacing. Not sure why Audi would have used these tires on their vehicles. Disappointed with Audi and Michelin for its inferior product.

Barely got 30,000 miles from these tires

I had LTX M/S2 tires on my SUV that handled great and lasted 80k miles. Based on this and the good reviews for this tire, I thought these would be great on my wife's Honda Odyssey and was willing to pay the premium price. Handling has been decent, but treadlife is pitiful. These were to the wear bars in just over 30k miles. I do not recommend these tires.
