No mettle strip to protect edge of plastic scope as with other brands

The smooth edge has worked well for snow removal without damaging our "Correct Deck" surface. We just had a few days of a nasty winter storm here in the NorthEast that left about an inch of very compacted ice/sleet/snow firmly attached to this deck. We did have to wait for the first warm day to soften the surface a little, but after easily flipping this shovel from the smooth side to the toothed side, I was able to chip down to the deck surface and scrape the frozen winter mess off the deck with no damage to the deck (or the shovel). Love it!
