Broken, possibly used monitors.

Bought two of them, went through the trouble of setting one up and it was dead. Figured it might be the power brick, so i opened the second and saw white wall paint on the chord, indicating it was used. Didnt even bother pulling the second one out.

Great on paper, horrible on execution.

Bought this for a center work monitor (WFH in IT) with the hopes of gaining extra desktop availability. It is not good... Let me go over a few pros and cons, as the screen DOES work, its just not up to any kind of quality. Pros: Large display, HDMI and DisplayPort options, fairly customizable built in menu, light enough for all types of monitor arms, 250Hz. Cons: 1080p, very low quality panel, felt like I was trying to stretch a 720p image onto a 4k monitor, even with simple applications like Outlook, it was hard to read the typed content, an inserted screenshot was fully impossible to read. It just feels like someone stretched the screen a bit too far for its resolution. Obviously I tried the usual tests of a different known good cable, using it on my gaming pc into a higher end graphics card, but there was no improvement. I went to another retailer and bought a Samsung 27 inch curved, 60Hz 1080p, and that it leaps and bounds better with being cheaper and using the exact same cables. It has its uses, but it was not for me or my needs.

I bought this completely on a whim.

As the title says, I bought this without doing any research. I saw it while walking around the store, and since I have a gaming computer, I was impressed with the price and specs. I purchased it and set it up the same day. I went from a 27 inch Asus 1080p 144hz monitor to this one, and I am impressed with it for the price point. Some reviews mention that the display is hard to read text on, and at first, I 100% agree and had buyer's remorse. However, I am not easily deterred and after messing with the settings it looks great. I run a 11th gen i7 and a 3060ti GPU and it performs very well. I also run my Xbox Series X and PS5 on the monitor, and they both looks top notch. You may have to tinker with settings, but if you are looking for good monitor for an amazing price, this is for you.

DOA - Wouldn't recommend.

DOA - Beware if you are buying this as a gift. I plugged it in to test it just in case and nothing happened. No power out of the box. Plugged, replugged, swapped outlets, swapped pc's, you name it. She was dead on arrival. Returning and will look elsewhere. Not worth the hassle or stress of not knowing if it will last or not.

Decent monitor for Switch 2 and Splatoon.

I had hemmed and hawed about purchasing this monitor for a while. I usually game on a 65” 4K Vizio that I've had for a few years but saw this one at the club on sale. The only thing it's missing is 4K resolution and speakers for sound output but I knew that going in. I don't see how some people couldn't figure that out by looking at the box or even searching the model number online, it's pretty obvious. Anyway I only play Nintendo switch 2 and bought it to mostly play Splatoon and I have to say I'm pretty happy with it. It looks great, though I'm no expert on gaming monitors and display quality, I doubt I would be able to tell the difference from any other monitor. Anyway if you want an affordable gaming monitor with decent picture quality this may be the monitor for you. Tip: if you own a decent pair of headphones buy yourself a volume controller that will plug into the headphone jack on the back, there's a decent Koss one on the old A to Z that's pretty decent. Note: Tried to post a picture of the monitor in action but the app kept giving me an error, sorry.

GRRRRR... Can't get black box comments off screen

Love the size and curved feature, but the directions were CRAP and I can't get a screen "BLOCK" for a lack of a better word, to erase from the screen. A black box saying IMPUT SOURCE, Native Resolution, Physical Resolution, Refresh Rate, Select Mode, Content Type and Bit depth will NOT disappear When I touch the red button in the back of the screen it CHANGES to a smaller black box with SMART CROSSHAIR written on it, then it quickly goes back to the above box. This box is located on the right side of the screen. This is the area where when I order something online the details of the cost and shipping generally is located. GRRRRRRR... A LARGER red box appears if I hold the red button to detail making changes. I had a computer savvy gal here and she was able to get rid of another black box that was to the upper top left. But after about 30 minutes or more of messing with this thing...we could not figure out any way to fix this disturbing mess. The directions were worthless

Perfect 1080p gaming monitor for the price

This is a great monitor. In reading the negative reviews, I saw 0 that were legitimate quality or product related. Don't buy this if you think it's 2k or 4k. It's not. As it clearly specifies everywhere you look for info on this monitor. Don't buy this if you need an office monitor. It's for gaming. And the people here saying they work in IT then complain this isn't good because of the way text appears, for example, are either not good at IT or mean they own a cell phone and can turn it on... This monitor is made for GAMING, hence the 250hz response time. So yes, a 60hz Samsung WILL be much better for your office work. And giving one star for dead out of the box? Return it. I've built PCs since the mid 90s. I've purchased MANY CPUs, PSUs, RAM modules, GPUs, monitors, etc and have NEVER had a bad one. Why? Because there are millions of these components produced and even with the best quality control, there will be 1 in a million that is bad for any number of reasons. From the manufacturing process to the employee dropping it while stocking shelves. It's really ignorant to give 1 star before you have even tried returning it and getting a properly working unit. I'm a gamer and this is a fine monitor for gaming and for the price its a steal. Text isn't great because when gaming, there is very little text. If you want perfect features of an office monitor and gaming monitor all in one, pay $700-$1000 for a 27" OLED and you'll get the sharp text and high refresh rate.

Control panel/joystick didn't work.

It is good only if it works. The monitor my brother picked up yesterday had the controller that wouldn't work. The red joystick button on the back of the monitor wouldn't work and the default input was on HDMI2 where the input I needed to use was displayport. Even with nothing plugged in to it, I couldn't get the monitor control panel to appear.
