This trash can is fair but it's lacking durability on the foot portion to open the trash can. The first Tramontina trash can broke within 90 days and I received a replacment and this one lasted longer before it broke in the area of the foot portion to open the trash can. This trash can looks good but fair and lacking durability. Cheap parts

I have now order 2 different cans in the charcoal color. Both showed up with deep scratches and blemishes on the lid. Too much hassle returning them and I'm out of patience hoping to get one that is jacked up when you can only order this color online. Over it.

Came to me dented twice!

The outside is stainless steel and some parts are metal but the rest is plastic. The problem is that the step to open the lid broke in the middle where the pivot metal rod is. We have to open the trash manually by lifting the corner of the lid by hand. They need to put a metal rod cross the step plate and it might have last longer.

Trashcan itself is great. Had a touchless trash can that broke so replaced it with this one. Made spaghetti for dinner and threw away the leftover plain pasta noodles. Trashcan was practically empty aside from some wrappers and the noodles. No meat, veggies, etc. 6 hours later, the entire house smelled rotten from the trash. Absolutely rotten. And the trash can is inside the closed pantry but the whole house smelled from it. Never encountered this with any trashcan I’ve ever bought. Not sure if it’s because the lid closes so slowly or if it’s because the lid is not very tight. Bought some deodorizers and hoping that helps or might return. Can’t imagine throwing out the trash every time it barely has anything in it to avoid the horrible smells.

Had really high hopes for a nice can / given the $..:( Arrived dented. Set an empty new clean shoe box on top for a day, surprisingly it scratched up the top. Just ridiculous :( This product is far from quality as the reviews state and not worth the $. I ordered the blue. Extremly disappointing.

Except for one flaw, this is solid and well made. It still looks good after three years. However after three years the plastic rocker panel inside which lifts the lid when he pedal is pushed cracked. Although that rocker can be easily removed, it appears that parts are not available. The rocker apparently isn't designed to take the stress of months of use. Expect the pedal to eventually fail. Except for that one flaw the would deserve 5 stars. (PS: I did email customer service. No response yet.)
