I have the plain stainless steel can and wanted the red . The color is as expected but when it arrived the corners of the trash can the color has been rubbed off. I also don’t feel as if this trash can will stand up over time. The peddle for lifting is already loose and making a noise very disappointed. I am going to have to look somewhere else for a new one . I had this shipped and don’t feel like dealing with the return process.

Great build quality. It's the best trashcan we ever had and we didn't know there were levels to trash can quality. You feel it immediately when you step on the petal and see the soft close. Only downside is the color is a red orange, a scarlet in our lighting. It's a gorgeous tone but not the candy apple or normal red I expected. Shame because a color matched photo would make this a 6 star product. I'll still give it 5 because I really love the quality of the item but it should be a 4 Because of the color difference

This thing is junk pure and simple. Claims to be stainless steel. Not! Inside of lid rusting away despite cleaning yet it rusts, rivets coming loose, Nothing you can do because kitchen waste (garbage) has a lot of moisture. So no matter what you do short of leaving the lid up there is no way to prevent the rusting and other disgusting deposits. But who wants to leave your garbage can lid up in your kitchen? Not a good product

I bought this trash can in June when my Simple Human one died after 5 years. This one already has rust on the inside of the lid. I assume from when I throw out the warm coffee grounds. I would NOT recommend. Spend the extra $$ on the Simple Human.

This is the second Tramontina (same model) I have bought over the past five years. Each one has lasted about 2.5 years before the rust underneath the lid ruined it. Nice looking but too expensive for such a short shelf life. I'm switching to a more expensive brand.

I really wish this had a "trash bag collar". It is a fantastic product, however, and if you are able to step on a pedal, I cannot imagine why pay more for something that requires a battery. I chose these for recycling because there is an inner can that makes it easy transport.

We bought this trash can 4 years ago, it is sturdy and works great. In reading all the good and bad reviews I agree with all of them. Our foot pedal broke after 4 years. The product description says "Covered by the Sam's Club Satisfaction Guarantee". I brought it back and Sam's CS gave me a gift card and I bought another one. Don't waste your time with Tramontina CS.

Owning this can for 2wks so far I have not 1con , Flush against wall and lid still opens without hitting the wall, Dog CAN NOT get in trash - Thank God I'm tired of cleaning up trash, Very easy to take a FULL bag of trash out of liner, Love the liner, Lid covers closes/fits and OVER the liner/bag , Lid closes slowly and quietly DOESN'T SLAM DOWN, I did go to the store to get it because I was concerned of getting one all dented up after reading reviews, I don't see how the can will get dented if sitting in kitchen. So far, no cons - love love it so far.. I hope this helps.

This is a great trash can. I've had mine for a very long time and it still works well. The improvement that is needed is a plastic liner for the lid that opens. The inside of my lid is rusty from the years of use and looks terrible. I would love to buy another unit but will not if my lid is going to look terrible again. Yes I've gotten many years of use out of it but for a long time it has been rusty on the inside. I hope this improvement is in the work so I can buy a new one and get many more years of use with a clean lid.

The function of the trash bin is good. The problem I have with the trash bin is that the top rusts on the inside. I called the manufacturer and they told me this is normal due to "gas" from the garbage inside. Said they would send me a top, but never received it. Just fyi.
