Tires always come with trade offs. There are two ways to achieve desired attributes: tread pattern and tire composition. Aggressive treads like this one are grippier and can usually handle adverse weather, but are noisier than a less aggressive tread. Harder compounds (this one is slightly on the firm side) lose some traction and give a harsher ride, but increase tread life and durability. There are grippier fair weather tires to be sure, such as the F1 series, and grippier dedicated tires for ice and snow. However it's difficult to find a great all-around, all weather tire that has a high speed rating, is responsive, provides great wet traction and at least moderate to good snow and ice. Third set of Eagle Sport GT's that I have purchased. Dry weather grip is well above average. Wet weather is outstanding, and for a V/Z speed rated tire the winter grip is amazing. Only non-winter tire I've ever had grip wet ice. Aggressive driving usually nets me 35,000+ miles a set with rotations.

Three hours after having these Eagle Sport All Season tires installed by Stewart Tire & Auto Service, we had a torrential rain storm and it was as if our 2007 Ford Focus Wagon was glued to the road. The traction was incredible. Weeks later, we drove on the (dry) highway and the handling was crisp, precise and very quiet. These are easily the finest tires we have ever owned. Thank you Don Stewart for suggesting them and thanks also to your professional staff who installed them.

So far, so good. Tires are performing better than expected. I only have one question: Tires don't need those little weights on the edges of the wheels for balancing anymore? I don't see any on mine, which makes me wonder if the balancing was done. Thank you.

It is hard to find another tire in this speed rating (W) at this price point. If you are like me and have a high performance sedan, THIS is the tire for you. They stick like glue to the pavement, ride well, have low noise, and...did I say they won't break the bank? I've literally had tires that cost twice as much as these, got half the mileage out of them, and were no better in high performance driving conditions.

Much quieter and stable feeling than the stock tires that these replaced. (Terrible stock tires lasted 20,000 miles) Wet traction very good. Handling solid (not driven hard). Can't comment on snow as none where I live. Can't comment on longevity as have only used a few months.

Not as noisy as some reviewers mentioned, at least on my vehicle, Ford Focus. Good wet weather driving, only driven in snow once, light dusting only, and it performed well, good dry weather tire, overall quite good. My gas mileage has increased a couple tenths. Ride is about the same as original equipped tires. May have given 5 stars if I drove them more in the snow.

I had a Michelin tires that came on the car. They were much quieter than this Eagle AS although, the Eagle AS has much better grip. The Michelin tires would squeal on exit ramps, slid in the rain, as well as the snow. These Goodyear Eagle AS were a big improvement in traction, just wish they were not so noisy on the highway. The Goodyear Eagle also has side walls that protect the wheel. The Michelin tires do not. So my wheels have a couple of scuffs that wouldn't be there if Goodyear tires were on the vehicle in the first place. ONLY complaint is the road noise from the Eagle AS tires. Otherwise I love the look and traction benefits.

These tires are a great value. They have great traction in wet and dry weather. My only complaint would be that they are a bit loud, but I cannot complain about that too much because the price of these tires make them a really great value. They also look great. The rim protector on my 20" wheels looks very nice and do the job well. Time will tell how they will hold up, but I think they will deliver. I got a set for my 18 Taurus because these performed great on my 350z.

I've been to the Oro Valley location many times, as have my husband and 18 yr old son. We've always been treated with respect, honest integrity and friendliness. That means a lot when you're dealing with expensive parts, driving safely and the inconvenience of vehicle disrepair. I trust them and I highly recommend them!

I've had these tires for a month. It just so happens that month we shattered the monthly snowfall records for Wisconsin. I logged at least 30 hours driving through between 4-7 inches of snow, slush, and slop. These tires turned my car into a tank. The performance on ice was second to none as well. Hands down the best winter performance from an all season tire I've ever seen.
