We have always purchased the Hormel thick bacon. They replaced it with the Members Mark brand. Night and Day difference. Not knocking MM products because they are usually of same taste/quality as other brands. Not this bacon. Poor taste, feel and size.

"Not gonna happen again"! I have always had great luck in purchasing Member's Mark products but this one was awful! Packaging: has a perforation that is ABOVE the zipper. You have to use scissors and cut nearer to the zipper. Then when you do that, the packaging will not remain closed. Product Quality: It is labeled as a thick cut / fully cooked bacon. It iwas very thin and required twice the direction time to cook it in the microwave. It was basically raw and extremely fatty. There was no flavor whatsoever. Very bland. Overall: This product replaced the Hormel Thick Cut Precooked Bacon that is awesome! You cheaped it down and it is now disguting. I purchased it twice hoping the first time was just a fluke but it wasn't. That won't happen again.

Right up there with the best bacon I have ever had. Leaner than almost any you can find. Cooked to perfection! Just a quick trip to the microwave and ready to eat. It is labeled as double smoked, but the smoke taste is light and not overpowering. IF Sam's can keep this at its current quality, I will be a customer for life!

We were disappointed in this bacon which replaced the name brand version that we love. The Member's Mark brand has an odd flavor and tends to be stuck to the package at the bottom seam (like it's sealed to the package somehow). Tends to be especially messy getting slices out. We are not a fan of the flavor. Please bring back the name brand version (I think it was Hormel). I'd say it's "acceptable", but we're not happy it's the only option for thick, pre-cooked bacon now. Additionally, I end up taking extra fatty parts off the ends that I used to not feel the urge to do.

If you purchase precooked bacon, do the world a favor and pay the extra $5 for the Hormel. This members mark pre cooked bacon is the greasiest bacon I've ever seen. As a pre cooked bacon, you are paying for the product itself, not the grease that's already cooked out of it. But, to my family's dismay, MM went ahead and packaged all that cooked out grease in with our bacon anyway. The more you buy this, the more likely Sam's Club will be to phase out the FAR superior hormel pre cooked bacon, like they already have with the thick sliced pre-cooked hormel. This bacon is awful, I basically had to cook it again so I could drain all the extra grease off of the outside of it, and the bacon was not great. We've purchased this more than once and it's the same every time. The thick cut version is even worse, even more grease on it. The point of paying a premium for pre-cooked bacon is so you don't have to make a mess cooking a bunch of bacon and you don't have to pay for all the fat that hasn't been cooked out of it. Well, I still had to cook it again (more than just heat it) and I still paid for the weight of that grease I pay extra to not have to pay for, so the 2 main reasons I even buy pre-cooked bacon are gone with this brand. Please stop buying this so they'll stop selling it. Also please try a different pre-cooked bacon so you'll understand this isn't worth the 4 and 5 stars "people" are rating this as. Probably just fake reviews to try to trick potential buyers into thinking this is worth more than $5. I'll buy the hormel pre-cooked for $17 every single time, I'd never spend more than $5 on this MM bacon again, there is no value besides checking the box "Does this sandwich have bacon? check. Can you taste it? It has bacon on it. But can you taste it? It's right there, look at it. Can't you see the bacon? But can you taste it? Look, the bacon is right there on your sandwich." The answer is no. You can't taste it. This bacon is ok at best if you eat it as a lone piece of bacon. If you want to add it to a burger or a sandwich or something, you're going to have to use 3x the bacon you normally would just so you can taste it. This further decreases the value. I normally love MM products, this is trash.

Kinda wish I never bought this. I can’t stop eating it. Been using the 3pack MM or Smithfield for years. The MM my last several purchases have had an off taste. The meat seemed totally fresh just a weird taste from the flavoring . Got me feeling I’m not eating bacon no more. Well the bacon craving came back with a vengeance. Looked at everything available and seen this precooked MM with decent ratings. Well you don’t know until you try something. This bacon has excellent taste. Fast and clean cooking in microwave. Versatile as you could ask for. Few slices when ever you want it. And keeps stable in resealable packaging for much longer than it could possibly survive in my refrigerator before being devoured. I honestly don’t know if I’ll ever buy bacon you cook yourself ever again. The price is better than single 16oz packages you buy anywhere that usually have about 15 slices.

Why do you have the good Bacon(Hormel Black label) out of stock for a few weeks then introduce Members Mark? I have noticed this over the years! Powered Cheeseburgers were fabulous, tried your brand once...never again! Tried your sub for Hormel...never again! It tastes like old fat pork! Thinking about not renewing,not worth the price! Bacon is awful,don't carry stuff I use to buy all the time! I am still trying to chew that awful bacon!

The first couple of times that I purchased this bacon, it was really good. It was the best precooked bacon that I have ever purchased. However, the last two times, the product quality has been awful. The bacon is well over 50% fat and the fat is the sort that is rubbery and will not crisp up. It's like chewing on a piece of greasy rubber. I am so disappointed and will not buy again.

We bought both the Members Mark Brand and the Hormel Black Label brand fully cooked bacon from Sam's to compare. They are very similar but at nearly $3 cheaper I would go with the Members Mark. Smoke flavor was similar although a little stronger with the Members Mark Brand. We cooked it multiple ways. We made breakfast sandwiches with a breakfast sandwich maker and it is really easy to make a Bacon, Egg and Cheese English Muffin with this pre-cooked bacon. It is also great in the air fryer and oven. While freshly cooked bacon is the best this is very convenient and much easier to use, less grease and less time to make breakfast.

I bought this bacon when Sam's did not carry their previous thick bacon (Hormel Black label thick bacon) for about two months. This bacon is terrible and does not even have a bacon flavor. Tastes like bacon fat without any meat. Very disappointed in Sams club for this change. I guess I need to start cooking my own bacon from scratch again. This is not worth buying and you have made a big mistake changing Hormel Black label thick bacon out with this.
