Part of a "pick-up" order. The employee who put together my pick-up order selected the absolute oldest bag of lemons. The tiny lemons were as hard as rocks and half were rotten. Never let an employee select your fruits and vegies, they will always select the oldest items.

More often than not I always seem to get one or two moldy lemons despite checking the bag for the ones that I can see. I guess I'm going to have to start opening the bag to inspect the inside. Other than that it is hit or miss. Some of the lemons are too hard and don't produce enough juice while others are just right. This doesn't deter me from buying them from Sam's because I run into this problem at other stores as well.

When you buy a large amount of anything fresh you can expect to have a few a bad ones. My husband picked out the bag of lemons, and I think he was not really looking at them, because he came home with a bag that had a few "lemons" in with the lemons! over all, they were pretty good and made great lemonade for my Bible study group.

make lemon curd. I used these for lemon zest and lemon juice to make lemon curd. These lemons were quite large, so I got an amazing amount of zest from them as well as the perfect amount of lemon juice (~2 cups) to make the lemon curd for a huge batch of tiny lemon tarts for a fundraising tea.

Almost good enough to make leamon aide with. If you decide to try (like I did) then plan on using a lot of sugar. In fact, the amount required to make a batch of leamon aide that you are comfortable serving is so high that I didn't offer very many people any. I made the mistake of sharing a glass with my wife who once had her own leamon trees and now she refuses to let me buy anymore

I actually purchased these to use for The Master Cleanse which I did for 20 days. I wound up purchasing 6 bags altogether which lasted the entire 20 days. They were so perfect and I really got a lot of juice out of them. Tasted really good, lots of pulp with my juice just the way I like it!

The lemons I purchased from Sam's Club were of poor quality from the outset. Upon buying them, I noticed that half appeared to be freezer burned, and within approximately eight days, they had deteriorated to the point where I had to discard them, along with the limes I had also bought from the same store. When I disposed of them in the garbage can, a cloud of smoke suddenly appeared, similar to a sandstorm. After verifying that there were no flowers in the garbage can, my concern grew regarding the potential preservatives used on these fruits, which seemed to remain fresh only until they were purchased by unsuspecting customers.

I was really happy with these lemons. They stayed fresh for over two weeks. They are also delicious for my needs. I juice a lemon every morning and mix with warm water to start my day. The only reason for four instead of five stars is because I would expect more juice for the size of the lemon than what I am able to get.

Drink water, drink more water, it's what we hear all the time. I found that slicing up a lemon and putting it in a pitcher of water in my fridge helped me tremendously to conquer this goal. The price at Sam's is better and the lemons have always been good juicers. Who wants to buy those individual lemons in the produce section after how many hands have touched them? Not me! These are in a bag and are always in my basket in the club.

The lemons looked great in the bag. I felt them or thought I did. Four days later I opened bag to make lemonade and well out of 3 pounds I had three that were still ok. Not enough for me to make 2 gallons of lemonade. Next time I will squeeze to make sure not soft or too soft. Buying by the bag is different than hand picking.
