Bad produce.

These plums were rotten when they were purchased by us. Whichever employee picked them out for us for our curbside pickup obviously did not check to see how old these were. Or possibly the produce person for your store does not go through the produce and remove the old/expired packages to assure freshness. I put them on my kitchen counter when I got home, did not remove the plums from the plastic bag they came in. A couple of hours later when I went back into the kitchen I noticed that there was a puddle of plum juice all over the area. The plums had broken open and made a huge mess on the counter. When I looked inside I could see and feel that the plums were wrinkled and the skin bursting with the rotten mess from inside the plum. I ended up getting a refund but it should never have been necessary. Someone should check the quality of the produce much more thoroughly before it is sold.

Un-eatable Plums

I bought a bag of Plums in March and they were ripe and juicy. I purchased a 2nd bag 30 days or so later and had to throw half of the plums away as they were rotten inside, yet they were NOT ripe! I have had the last or 2nd bag for over 2 weeks now, and every single plum is hard as a baseball and none of them are ripe.

A great snack for my toddler!

They're really good. I only gave it one less star because sometimes they seem to go bad quickly and sometimes the batches are inconsistent from week to week. For 3 weeks in a row we got big plums, and then this week they're pretty small. They start out kind of sour but ripen quickly, even in the fridge! But, then they can turn a corner and over ripen... they're still good to eat but look less appealing inside... then it's a short trip to rotten but that takes maybe a week. Definitely worth the purchase though.

A staple for charcuterie boards here

Nice plums, but I actually chipped my front teeth biting into these... those pits are ridiculously hard. Not Sam's Club's fault, but there has to be some industrial use for pits that hard. This time around we grabbed a bag of the dark purple ones... I still prefer the reddish varieties better for flavor and firmness.

Pass on the fruit. Only thing safe is the citrus

Horrible. So bruised up not worth having. Remorseful purchase. Won't happen again. I saw the produce guy throwing the melons to stack them up. I gave him lip for it. Because i actually wanted to buy some melons. Now i couldn't. This must be what happens to all the produce. Explains a lot.

Never ripened

I bought these approximately 3 weeks ago and I still have some that are hard as rocks and extremely tart. I actually prefer my fruit a little under-ripe, but this is not good. We even tried putting them in a paper bag and nothing worked. This may be the way these fruit are when ripened, but if so I definitely do not recommend.

Bad Plums

I purchased these plums through the grocery pick up service. The plums were wilted and old. Because it is so much trouble to stand in line to return items, I kept them and tried to eat them, but we had to throw them away because they were badly bruised and wilted. This seems to be the problem with a lot of items I receive via grocery pickup even though I request in my comments to receive fresh fruits and veggies, the last 3 or 4 pickups have the fruits and veggies have not been good. I am considering canceling my membership due to the poor quality of pick up items and the limited selection.

Plums (3.5 lbs)

This is the second time I’ve purchased these plums. They were tasty and flavorful and delicious. However the second purchase wasn’t as flavorful and the fruit quickly became mushy when left in a bowl on the counter. I’d recommend refrigerating to keep them fresh.

Almost Rotten

Right on the edge of being rotten. Didn't seem bad when I picked up the bag. I put them in the fridge, the next morning there was liquid under the bag. I took one out and found it to be really mushy. Threw them out and fed them to some deer. They loved them.

Plums from Chile

These plums are advertised as being from California, but they are from Chile. Very disappointing. Not just that, they are also bruised and some are really bumpy. They have no flavor and are not fit to eat. They're also “black kat.” I was expecting normal plums as pictured
