good all around tire

I put these on a 2025 Honda Ridgeline nice Ride and very quiet their predecessor the LTX M/S had pretty good winter traction ( I had them on a few vehicles) and ran them through the winter so I expect these will be the same. Though they don't compare to an actual "winter tire" they are pretty good. Minus a star because they have limited sizes, couldn't find the size I wanted so had to settle for a tire an Inch taller.

Awesome tires.

Don't let the “all season” fool you. They definitely deserve to have the M/S on the side wall. I would even argue the 3PMSF. They are super grippy in the snow and cold. Seemed to be quiet and comfortable. They have been out in plus degree weather and -20 and handled with ease. Tread life is amazing as well. They look sleek and the design is smooth. Highly recommend these tires. You do really get what you paid for.

My wife bought her 2014 Ford Edge new....it now has 140,000 miles on it....and has the original Michelin Latitude tires on it....just goes to show that proper rotation intervals and weekly tire pressure checks help....will be the tire we replace with....outstanding.

I hope they'll be good eventually...

I purchased the tires Dec 27 2024 and when they finally arrived had them balanced and installed on January 31st 2025. Very bumpy ride quality after my OEM Goodyears with 88,000 km on them that still gave a very smooth ride. The shop tried to rebalance on Feb 24th and the ride quality is worse now and there's definetly something wrong. I think I'll like them once this is sorted out but lots of hassle and time wasted so far. I read such good reviews I was really expecting better. Also it was interesting these tires were made in Brazil. At this point I'll give the tires 2 stars not knowing if its a bad tire(s) or a bad install and balance. So with that said I want to like them but not yet.

Performance okay, ride is the worst.

First of all, the tire performance has been pretty good in all sorts of weather conditions. At times I've experienced light hydroplane issues on my 2017 F-150 2x4 XLT SuperCrew. My biggest issue, and why I despite these tires is the ride. After maybe 9 on the of running them, the ride degraded quickly. They ride like rocks, and every bump has the potential to send jarring shock waves down your rear end and back. It's really bad. I have had the truck checked, I've changed shocks and everything is fine. I'm now approaching time to replace and it's genuinely the worst ride I've had in my 40 years of trucks. I really don't understand this as I have always used Michelin as my top choice.

Noisy!. Beware.

I've been buying Michelin tires for as long as I can remember. Always had good luck with them. But this new Defender LTX m/s2 Tire is so hard and it creates a rumble/road whine in my truck, especially on Country Blacktop roads. I got a 2024 truck that I'm really proud of but these tires are probably the worst michelins I've ever owned. The dealer said I can swap them but in my size 275-60-20 there's nothing to choose from but a more aggressive tire( no way). I'm hesitant to switch brands but I may have to do that at a dear cost to my pocketbook. ( Dealer has said he would swap tires out for another Michelin but they dont make my size in less aggressive tires as they have really pulled back on choices).Shame on you Michelin for leaving this tire size absent on your other popular quiet tires and making such a hard tire just to get higher lingevity ratings!

Great Tire

I bought my 2nd set of Michelin Defenders after going 86,676mi on the first set. I never bought Michelin tires until I bought my first set of Defenders. I probably could have driven another 5k-7kmi but I noticed that traction wasn't that good in the rain with 86k plus miles. Very impressed with these tires quietness, longevity, and performance. When it's time to ditch the 2nd set of Defenders, I will definitely be buying a 3rd time.

Great tires. Pay now or pay later

Now on second year on ford f150 best tire I've found to date. Getting ready to purchase a set for our jeep gladiator. Third set I've owned first set had 90K on honda pilot. Now at 52K on ford still look new. Great in winter. I know they don't look like good snow tires. But they are the best

Truly Impressive in every aspect of what one wants from a tire

I have owned my Tahoe since 2007. When the original Tires needed replaced, I switched to the defender LTX M/S 275/55/20 tires. After switching to the Michelin, tires, I have never used a different brand or style since replacing the original tires.I have over 350,000 miles on this vehicle. I find the ride, handling, performance and comfort to be unmatched!. I have switched all of my vehicles to the Michelin brand tires. They handled the Florida weather with ease. And I find a perform just as well when I travel north. I also purchased a lifetime alignment program and have the tires rotated every 5000 miles. Combining proper maintenance with superior quality makes the 80,000 mile life expectancy of the tires A conservative estimate.

Poor milage wear

Tires wore faster than should have. After alittle over 30000 miles on them will need replacing. Had rotations done on timely recommended times. These were my first tire type as I always ran the Michelins A/T before on my RAM and they all lasted. I now am researching other brands also, My driving habits at my age and keeping my Truck serviced don't warrant they should be worn so quickly, so frustrated at this point. No off road driving, most just highway or in town, only 1 tire had to be replaced after about 9 months after hitting large bolt. I did like the handling and quietness.
