Highly recommend recommended

I have been using chupacabra seasoning for years until I tasted this product. I do not like spicy foods. However, this particular seasoning tasted a little bit spicy, and then I could definitely feel that heat and full body flavor on my tongue and then it just slowly eased off. It was delicious and my son who has a very high tolerance for spicy foods won't eat anything without it.

Funny name, great all around spicy seasoning

I'm not a fan of gimmicky names, including this one, which is why I've actually avoided buying this spice blend up till now, but I am a big fan of Cajun seasonings. Recently, I was reading reviews of Cajun spice blends. The consensus was, silly name aside, Slap Ya Mama was better than the two other big brand names. The difference seems to be it might be a tad less salty and has simpler in ingredients. After trying it I tend to agree, that's what makes it shine. The taste combination of salt, red pepper, black pepper, and garlic is classic. Simple ingredients with nothing you don't understand. I've read critical comments from people saying "I can make this myself, why should I buy this?". No you can't! You would have to buy the same red pepper, black pepper, and garlic, that's nearly impossible since you don't know the the variety of peppers and garlic they use, let alone their source of supply. It's also difficult to believe you could make it cheaper at home. Sure, salt is cheap, and you could grow your own red peppers and dry them (I do), but you have to buy the black pepper and garlic. Red and black peppers aren't cheap if you have to buy them, and you're not going to save much if any money trying to do it yourself. Not to mention, trying to get the ratio just right is not easy. It's just not doable for most people. The bottom line, I'm a fan. I sprinkled some on my fried potatoes this morning while they were cooking. Delicious! This is a near perfect seasoning (if you like it hot and spicy). It can be used for multiple dishes, not just Cajun dishes. I highly recommend it.

Yummy

Slap Ya Mama Cajun Seasoning has quickly become one of my favorite spices to keep in the kitchen. You can really taste the authentic flavors of the south in every sprinkle. It reminds me of the bold, savory cooking you’d expect straight out of Louisiana. I recently used it while making fried fresh catfish, and it completely elevated the dish. The seasoning gave the fish a perfect balance of spice and flavor without overpowering the natural taste. Just a light coating before frying was enough to bring out that classic Cajun-style crust and aroma. What I love most is how versatile it is. It works great on seafood, chicken, fries, and even vegetables. If you enjoy the rich, down-home taste of southern cooking, Slap Ya Mama Cajun seasoning is definitely worth keeping in your spice cabinet. It brings that authentic Louisiana kick that makes simple meals taste like they came straight from the heart of the south. 🌶️🍽️

Yaya Product Grade Book: A

(A) I have been using this seasoning for years. It’s versatile, flavorful and has a good texture. No matter what I use it on , it gives it just the little extra flare it needs. Just have to be careful not to go heavy on it because it will be salty

Just worked I salt, heat, and garlic. I have made my own Cajun, or creole seasoning and this is as good very convenient. Like not having to shake one container with it all.

A great all-purpose seasoning.

This is a great seasoning for all kinds of meat chicken.Et cetera. instead of 5 or 6 spices, you can just use this one. And it has salt in it so I use it for a lot of things

Too Salty

I found this seasoning to be WAAAY to salty for my liking. I don't understand how so many people use this as their seasoning.
