Extraordinary Picture & Sound Quality

We love our new LG TV! The picture quality is extraordinary and the sound system is so good that we no longer need to utilize our sound bar. The only negatives are the difficult way to add apps and using a pointer from the remote to click a keyboard is tedious and a strain on your eyes. In addition, not all apps are supported so every time we want to watch B1G 10 + or PBS Passport, we have to renter all our sign-in information.

We absolutely love it. Taking it out of the box was the only difficult part and it wasn't too bad. We just took our time and tried to be careful. The picture is amazing, the remote is wonderful. I read some bad reviews on setting it up but we found it all so easy. We don't even use a sound bar. We're thrilled with everything about this television.

Great TV, But Where is the 5-Warranty?

The TV has an amazing picture and is incredibly thin. I purchased it online from Sam's because they included a 5-year warranty. But I have no documentation of the warranty. It was not noted on the receipt. I talked to customer service and they just said save your receipt and gave me a brochure about their insurance policies. I have since gotten emails from Sam's trying to sell warranty/insurance to me for the TV. Not knowing whether I actually have a 5-year warranty is unsettling.

Great TV. Some work needed on outof box experience

Excellent picture and accepting DTS for movies is great. Like centralized stand as well. Presets are good, especially film maker mode. Inputs and esthetics of the TV are first class. Really nice for movies. Set up could have been smoother. Getting apps required accepting LG terms, but it kept blowing up when i tried to accept them. First call to tech support sent me down a wrong way rabbit whole. Second tech support person knew what she was doing, and instructed me to change the DNS, which worked. None of it, however, should have been necessary. Having to call tech support at all in the first three hours of ownership is a fail by LG. In addition, the feature descriptions that are in English for picture quality and such need to be re-written by a native speaker. Normal people who want to know what things do should not have to guess. The descriptions are not awful, but they are not good.

Beautiful display!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The video is incredible! I didn't realize how dim my old (~2008] tv was and the upgrade from 1080P to 4K is truly amazing. The display is bright and is easy to see from all angles. My only issue is the wireless connectivity. The tv sits just 5 feet from the router but was extremely difficult for the tv to see my network. After searching the internet for troubleshooting tips I had to make some very unusual changes to the router before the tv could connect to it. Note that I am using an Eero router with WiFi-6. The WiFi setup is the only reason for the 4 stars rather than a full 5.
