I was leery of buying these oranges because there were a lot of bad reviews, but I really needed them. I figured that the new crop should be in by now and I'd take a chance . Well these are definitely NOT new crop navels, they are last year's old dried out, tasteless oranges that have been sitting too long. I bought them on Tuesday and I already had one rotten by last night (Saturday) and they are being returned today (Sunday). I paid over $10 for them and they are garbage.

The produce at Sams seems to be less than stellar frequently. I found that to be the case with these oranges as well. I got them home and immediately began to slice them for using in smoothies. They were not very sweet and I had to throw one away. I wish that Sams would keep a closer eye on the quality of their produce.

These were good/sweet and better than I expected. Normally, Florida oranges aren't very sweet to eat by themselves, but are good for OJ. In contrast, California oranges are much sweeter to eat. I bought these b/c I didn't see any California ones at Sam’s and the Cuties/Halos were too squishy and would spoil too fast.

The last bag of oranges I purchased from Sam's Club were large and very flavorful and juicy. In this new bag, however, the oranges are very small and pithy and not very flavorful or juicy. Sam's, please do a quality control check on the fruits and veggies you purchase from your vendor. This bag of oranges was a waste of my money.

My husband and I have consistently purchased the 8 pound bag of oranges that Sam's used to carry and have been happy with them. However, the bag was reduced to 6 pounds and almost every orange in the bag had mold on it but they were hidden in the bag and you could not see the mold. This was most discouraging. We will not be purchasing these oranges on future visits. And I would definitely not recommend purchasing the oranges.

Most of the oranges in the bag were very good but a few were not edible. The worse one was busted & gross. The other two were on their way to being too soft & mushy. I’m guessing they got squished at some point. Will check the bag more carefully next time. Otherwise, the rest were ok.

I always buy these large oranges. They are usually very sweet and juicy just awesome. However, this time around they were small oranges most of which were tart. Some of them are sweet, so it wasn’t too bad. But they certainly weren’t the ones I’m used to buying at Sam’s. They labeled large, but they’re not large at all.

We buy these regularly. Usually they are good. The last 2 times they were old. Mushy when cutting and some had white mold on them you could not see in teh bag. May just be they are out of season and getting rid of old crop. Not worth keeping and driving back to Ft Worth to return.

they are misreprsented i trusted sam club to know what navel oranges look like they have a navel like top very noticeable an peel very easy,so we will be checking everything we pick up at the produce. my bad for not checking them but i will next time. they tasted ok.but definitely not a navel.
