Essentially this product meets my expectations for additional space at an affordable price. It is also fairly attractive. The devil lies in the details involved in actually constructing it. For example, it is telling that outside help is available (understandably for a cost) to assemble the shed. Excluding pouring a concrete base, no one that I could find is available to help construct the foundation which supports the structure-a critical step. The instructions are accurate but not necessarily easy to follow. One needs to be quite handy to successfully follow the process. I quickly discovered the difference in working with plastic v.wood (screwing into the former requires a different touch than the latter). I had the good sense and advantage of having the services of a good friend who is experienced in hands-on projects. I literally would have been over-matched without him, not to mention the assortment of auxiliary tools he brought to facilitate construction. He and I worked together most of the time. My two adult sons were instrumental in the phase of assembling the walls and roof. It took us two about six days-about 5/6 hours each day-to complete. It was longer and more challenging than I thought, but then again I was in unfamiliar territory. Undertaking the project in fairly cold weather (upper 30's-low40's) didn't help. I was missing two non-essential components. A call to the manufacturer quickly rectified that issue. In summary, I am reminded of a quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson: "The best part of a job well done is that it is done."

When you purchase this shed. You are not told that it is a curb side delivery and it weighs about 800 lbs.You get this information when it's time for it to be taken off the truck. Luckily my husband knows the guys at Uhaul who rented him a truck where he had the driver slide it on to the Uhaul and was able to drive it to the back yard. It took about four days to figure it all out and it takes two people to assemble. After all is said and done, we are satisfied with the outcome. The shed is sturdy for what is and looks just like the picture. To expound on the questions below. I would recommend that my friends purchase only if they were told what to expect and could make the decision on the facts.

This is a good product once you put it together. I could rewrite the directions and condense the huge confusing book with handy clues and way better pictures. Sadly I could only do that after making it through putting it together with the horrible directions that come with it. There are a few videos on youtube that helped some.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchase and shipping were a breeze. Initial organization and de-burring took a couple of hours, but was a time-saver overall. I sorted and pre-assembled everything I could in the comfort of my three car garage. This is most preferable to trying to do this outside. Assembly was fairly straight forward with just my wife and I. There were no surprises, everything fit together well and all doors, windows, and locks work perfectly. After a couple of 100+ degree days I found a screw from a ceiling panel on the floor and I wondered if had maybe got some of them mixed and put a smaller one where a larger one should have been...there are two sizes that are very close. It took us about two hours to unbox and organize everything and about 16 hours of assembly time. I would buy this again. The manual suggests using an app called Bilt, I probably couldn't have done as well without, I HIGHLY recommend using it!

This was a million piece erector set. There was zero prefab n the directions were hard to follow. The pieces were not consistently numbered so you spent hours figuring out the parts. This was 3 huge boxes with the same pieces split between all three boxes. Therefore you had to empty all boxes multiple times to find what you need. I wanted to chuck this in the truck and dump it back at Sams cause of the frustration levels. There were missed instructions that were not discovered until you were multiple steps on. Therefore have to demo n do over. Ugh!!!!!!! This happened several times because there were no mention of this problem in the assembly part. This is a house of cards that I am hoping stands up to a very stiff wind. Dans should have paid me to put this mess together ! I would have given it no stars but that wasn't an option.

As other commenters have reported, the assembly is quite tedious and time consuming. It took me 2 full, difficult days to assemble it by myself and I'm pretty handy. The instructions were good though. I'm happy with the shed, but keep in mind that it's not going to be as rigid as a 2x4 shed. If you push on the walls, they flex. It's still good enough for my needs, and I like the fact that I don't have to paint or deal with shingles over the coming years. The floor feels like thin plastic. It's strong enough to support heavy items, but just feels a little cheap. I'm still happy with my purchase though.

We got the shed and all the parts were well laid out and labeled. The instructions were very good, however, we somehow got the rod lengths mixed up on the two sets of doors. This meant we had to cut one of them to make it fit in order to not take half the shed apart. Everything was going together really well until we got to the last roof panel. It seemed to be warped. My husband had to loosen previous panels and really work on it to finally get that roof panel in. Now the doors are pretty hard to open and close and there doesn't seem to be any way to adjust them. That being said, we like the way the shed looks and it feels very sturdy. Hopefully the doors will "break in" over time. The shed took about 4 days to complete with 2 people.

This takes a bit of time to setup. I spent a full day (~ 8 hrs) assembling parts and another full day putting it together. The instruction for ambling the floor were terrible because there are specific holes needed for the doors. Unfortunately you don't figure out it's right or wrong until the walls and roof are 75% together. Mine had two floor sections backward so I had to improvise to make it work. I was too far along to take it all back apart, fix it and start over. The wall attachments to the floor can be tricky, especially on the corner pieces. This shed is otherwise really awesome. I absolutely love it.

I just ordered this shed and finished constructing it two days ago. I received the shed a few days ahead of time, and after building the base, it took me about 2 full days too build without help. My only suggestion is too have the pictures in the directions a little bit bigger, asit is hard to understand what they are suggesting some times. I am very happy so far with this's product so far.

This is our 2nd Lifetime Storage Building. The first is 7 years old. The building was easy to assemble for two senior citizens (65 and 72). One day for building the base, one for sorting parts and pre assembly and one for assembly. The shed is beautiful and sturdy. Waiting for rain to check for any leaks. Our first building had no water, insects, etc. this one is bigger and a different design. So far so great!
