Rides smoother then the other brand I had on car

Great ride

I rank these tires very high on value. While there are tires in the size I needed (225*55*19*H), sometimes at half the cost of these Coopers, they are from brands I never heard of and could never find sufficient information on to make me comfortable purchasing them. Let's face it, the number one safety component of any car is the driver, and the number two safety component is the tires you ride on. So, for what I considered comparable, name recognition tires, these tires were an excellent value, costing about 75% of what I've paid for OEM tires over the last 8 years (which, until these Coopers, were all I ever purchased). Will they actually run 70,000 miles? Only time will tell. I have taken a few road trips on these tires and they seem quiet, though the ride seems a bit spongey. Maybe as I'd worn my last set of tires down to the wear bars, I just got used to a hard ride, so maybe this will feel more comfortable on my upcoming 2000 road trip later this month. But, so far, I am satisfied with these tires and look forward to seeing how they perform on extended trips, affect my fuel economy, and behave in various weather conditions
