Improved in all areas

have been in the tire sales Industry for 17 years. I am a goodyear guy throught and through. I also only buy sell and drive old Police vehicles. So my 2014 Tahoe PPV which takes a odd 265/60r17 V rated tire is hard to find stuff. the Eaqgle RS-A's are the police Standard besides the Firehawk Pursuit which are both WAY OVERPRICED. the good year from 10 years working at goodyear are laking in life and wet grab. the other tires were the Newer General Justice, not a general fan from my experience and time spent in the industry. Then the pathetic Nexen, not even on a ememies car. I am More than amazed and Surprised how much Quieter these Advantage T/A Sports are. Wet traction is definably better as well. My only Gripe would be the New Tread Depth. When I first sold some years ago I thought they looked like Snow Tires, but always heard good reviews.

Bad Tires

Had less than 20000 miles on these tires when I started hearing bad road noise. Just had the dealer that installed these tires on my Cadillac SRX tell me all four tires have belt problems that cause all this noise. These tires lasted me less than the original equipment tires. Am in the process of changing all tires to another brand I can depend on.

Sucks on less than 1" snow for POOR rating

My fiancee bought 4 of these after her Michelin's had to be replaced. We didn't have snow yet. I needed two new tires and put these on the front. Basically in under one inch of snow, don't expect these tires to make a corner in parking unless you are going slower than a fast pace walk. They are great for wet roads but suck for snow. Their claim of 30 percent better is extremely doubtful. Neither of us would ever recommend them. She doesn't even have 300 MILES on her tires and me about 500 as I write this -- basically new yet. In the end DO NOT BUY THESE IN THE SNOW AREAS.

Awesome tires!

I bought these to replace our previous BF Goodrich Long Trails on our 2012 Highlander. These had over 60,000 miles on them and were excellent tires, so wanted to find something similar to replace them. The new Advantage tires were a good choice so far. Good rolling down the highway, and good traction in the snow.

Great Looking Tires!

Bought these this weekend for my wife’s Grand Cherokee. She didn’t want all terrains but I wanted something that added a better look than regular tires. I was extremely pleased with how these looked on her car. So far the ride has been great too. I highly recommend.

Jack of all trades, master of none

2018 CX5 AWD owner - FL driver, and weather. These tires made my short list because they are 3 peak snow flake rated and have pretty good ratings. This mattered to me because I'm approaching a time when we'll be road-tripping to colder states and will inevitably encounter the wintry stuff. Best word to describe these: compromise. They don’t seem particularly excellent at anything, just a great jack of all trades which has an upper hand in wintry conditions vs A/S tires. These will do 95% as good a job tires like the Premier LTX or similar – yet are far superior in winter, less $$, and from reviews it seems they actually go the distance with their rated mileage. I've always had Michelins in my vehicles and they always wear out at about half their warranty rating. I hope the following will give you a feeling of what these feel like in my GT: Handling: less of a knife, more like a spatula. With that said, they aren't fully broken in yet. Wet traction: So far so good except one red light I spun tires a little, but it might just be the release agent because they are new. Drove over deep puddles at speed, yet I couldn’t break them lose.. they just bit the road. Dry traction: It’s an SUV not a race car. They do just fine. Comfort: they are on the softer side it appears – maybe a little bouncy. However you can feel every grit on that pavement. It’s as if they don’t isolate the texture from the driver, instead they transmit it straight to the steering wheel + seats. Not sure if this is a plus or a minus, but in my case, I'm not loving that too much. Yet don’t confuse this with noise. Feeling is different from hearing. NOISE... oh the noise many complain about. This was the category in the reviews which made me hesitate at getting these, but in the end I guess I took the dive. I will divide this part into subjective as well as objective: Subjectively (personally) I do feel they are a little louder, but not much - maybe 1 or 2 decibels. The added road feel I think plays a trick with your brain to make you think they are louder than they are (combining the actual noise with the gritty feel on some concrete roads). Objectively (with a decibel app on my Samsung Note 10) – shocking enough - they aren’t louder. I tested on my car, on a stretch of road at 50 and 60 mph. accessories off, windows closed, stereo off. 50mph = 70 decibels. 60mph = 72-74 db. 70mph: 74-76 db. Here’s the interesting thing: I immediately went and test drove a BRAND NEW 2021 CX5 GT with stock Toyo A36s which are the original tires for this car– and I got the EXACT same #s / db ranges. . New OEM tires seem to be just as loud (or quiet however you want to interpret) as these. IF there is a difference, I’d argue it’s subjective and does not exceed 1-2db. However the stock tires do seem to isolate the road feel better, which might explain why they might come across as quieter. One thing these tires DO have is a little humming noise. It’s there, it’s present, yet not intrusive. If you roll down your windows, you can hear it outside bouncing off the curbs and walls and such. This car does a decent job at hiding it with the windows up but it's still there. Overall, for the promise of added traction in winter conditions, I think it's a solid tire. I don't think anything else out there really combines these features with the promised mileage these have. Oh and looks wise... smoking! I hope this helps!

Safety First

Haven't had these tires more than a week. We had a blizzard yesterday. These tires are worth their weight in gold. A lot of people think that their cars are dangerous and not good on ice and snow. It isn't the car, it's the tires. Some people trade cars and think that is the answer to their problem. Not so. I replaced tires on a new car up here in North Dakota. Summer tires do not work well up here. In fact, one small fender bender can cost several times the cost of 4 new good tires. When you count higher insurance rates the cost is even higher. A smart driver will figure this out. This was the best combination tire I could find through exhaustive investigation. So far it is great.

Very happy with this purchase

I've purchased TA KOs for years for my trucks so when it came to tires for my family vehicle I found these. I live in NW Pennsylvania. I put these on 2 weeks ago. In the past 2 weeks we've had an 18" snowfall, several other minor snowfalls, icy roads and now 40 degree weather. Snow performance was excellent, vehicle handles great and no road noise. I did my research before buying. Very happy with these tires.

Great tire, bring back passenger tire!

4 years and 65,000 miles later and I've absolutely loved every mile with these tires. Sadly I regret I cannot buy these tires for my car anymore, as they've been discontinued. Can't believe it. Purchased based on recommendation, they did great. I recommended them to others who got them and loved them. Incredibly bummed I can't get another set of 225/45R17. Quiet, good fuel mileage, great traction in snow etc.

One glaring shortcoming

I have 25k on a set of 4. Handle well, great in all weather condition. Lobe them except for one major flaw. They are extremely noisy. Regardless of speed, there is sways a drone present. You have to turn the radio to hear it. At first they were fine, but getting louder as the miles add up. Will have to replace them long before they're worn out. Horrible on long trips. What a shame on a otherwise great tire.
