This Russel's is my perfect match. It's complex and interesting without being unnecessarily challenging. It's rich and satisfying without being overwhelming. That evolution of vanilla cherry into lightly spiced cola (for me) is just amazing every time I drink it. Which is often.

The first bottle of Russell’s single barrel I bought was on a whim from a guy who claimed he hated it initially, then revisited on a poker night and was devastated when it was killed that night with friends. I gave it a chance like he said and was absolutely astonished at how flavorful and deep the flavors went. I buy them, especially store picks, when I see them.

It seems to me that most of Wild Turkey bourbons are under-rated by the bourbon community. Russel’s Reserve Sungle Barrel is one of my all time favorites and consistently delivers a palate full of smooth, warm flavors. I prefer mine with one ice cube that allows it too open up and enables you to enjoy the full flavor as changes from the front of the tongue to the back of the throat. For the money, I don’t think there is a better buy !!

I buy this bourbon all the time, but look forward to special occasion when I can buy it and share with my family and friends. This is the perfect bourbon, made with perfect craftsmanship, and put in the bottle with care. The high proof may seem intimidating, but gives the flavor, spice, boldness, and aroma of the perfect bourbon. This is my go to pour.

I can write this about all four bottles that they requested a review on. It is pretty plain and simple, all the Russell’s (especially the 13 when I can find it, and it is difficult). are very worthwhile and an excellent example of what a great bourbon or rye should be. While I’m not one of these youtube reviewers, but I do have around 200 open bottles of scotch, bourbon, whiskey, rye and whiskey on my shelves. Only a few get replaced when they run dry, but when it comes to Russells, there is no question, they always get refreshed.

Everyone seems to comment about how great RR SiB is but after trying a few different ones I'm still not seeing it. I mean, it's fine, but nothing special. I think the finish is too dry and overpowering. I really love Rare Breed, RR13, RR15, and 101, but the RR SiB doesn't do it for me. Maybe I'm the only one.

I found this to be a great sipper and mixer. Wild Turkey really has a diverse product line. This makes a great Old Fashion or Whiskey Sour and goes well with Coca-Cola. As a sipper this has a great nose, finishes with a little spice. Very pleasant.......

Every Russels single barrel is great in its own unique way. I would highly recommend looking for store picks to explore the nuances of different rickhouses and ages. Great nice bourbon to enjoy with friends and family or while hanging out with your pup on the back porch.

I've had store pics in the past i liked and thought why not just try a single barrel I can get any time. Was very impressed on my first one. Tasted similar to R 13 just a lighter version. I've never had any russels I didn't like but I'll say this single barrel was better than some of the store pics I've tried. So yes I'll always have this
