I don't know what happened to the frozen Ground Angus Beef Patties, and exactly when it happened. In the past, I was paying around $25 to $26, and I see now they have jumped to $30. They cooked up nice, very little shrinkage, and very little grease to clean up... That's WHY I bought them. Now when I cook them, I end up with lots of grease in the pan and noticeable shrinkage. In the past, I tried to keep some in the freezer for nights when we needed something quick and easy, but if I'm just going to end up with a pan full of grease, I might as well buy 90/10 fresh burger, pat them out my self, and freeze my own. I see why they are so greasy now, as as looking at the package, it indicates they are now an 80/20 percentage of meat to fat (they said people like that blend better, as they claim it has better taste. I think that's hogwash, it simply another way to increase their profit in addition to raising the price. I season my burgers exactly how we like them - that's what makes them taste good!). In the past, I'm sure they used to be 85/15 or 90/10. I don't need 20% fat added to my burger, so I guess I'm done with these.
