Michelin is the brand to buy

I bought these for my Chevrolet Tahoe approximately 3 years ago. They have been excellent. In the snow, the dirt, and excessive heat (110+). They are wearing so well, I expect to get more than the warranty states. I have experienced some slight cracking in the sidewall due to the vehicle being outside during all conditions but they have been checked and there is no chance of failure.

BEST TIRE FOR HORSES

I am retired U.SMC. & State Police, My hobby now is hauling my horses all over the country, I have "cutting"horses, and we compete the entire circuit. I have a 40 ft gooseneck with living quarters and a chev duramax diesel truck. The O.E. tires were useless so I purchased the LTX m/s 2. They are great for driving on interstate for 2000 miles, then backing up the entire rig through mud and horse droppings etc. to get near the arena. A mud tire wears out on concrete and a highway tire slips on the first cow flop. I found the best of both with the Michelin, sure some say they are pricey, but my horses, my trailer, are worth protecting. I have the Michelin Xps ribs on the trailer. Check your tire pressures make sure they have hay, lock the back and think about winning when you get there.

Best truck tires I've owned

The first set of these tires on my Silverado 2500HD Crew Cab lasted 96,689 mostly highway miles. I replaced those with the same tires and I'm at 88,000 miles with a decent amount of tread left. Great performance with only one flat tire due to a screw. Low noise and they handle well in rain. I have about 750 pounds of equipment in the bed at all times and only tow 3-5k pounds 80 miles 2-3 times a month. Absolutely the best tire for my situation.

Great Tire

Use these tires on my wife's SUV. The tires handle and grip the road in all weather conditions. They have worn evenly for me although I check the air pressure on a consistent basis which is a must. Very pleased with the tires and will purchase again. I have not encountered anything negative with the tires.

Still the best quality tires.

I owned and operated a construction company for more than 30 years. We typically had 3-10 light trucks on the road. They were often fully loaded to max GVW and or pulling trailers. Once the OEM tires were worn out (or blowout) we would replace them with Michelins. I tried most of the major brands and had numerous failures such as tread separation, ply separation and blowouts. We experienced very few failures with Michelins. I just replaced a set of Michelins on a 2006 Chevy 3500 pickup that I drive. I got more than 50,000 miles of service from the LTXs and replaced with the same tire. I have only had one bad experience with rapid wear and I think it was vehicle related, not the tire. We also had several off-road heavy equipment eathmoving applications. Some of the equipment had other brands of tires and occasional problems, but the ones with Michilens never had any issues. They cost a bit more than "brand x" but they are worth it.

They so good I bought another set

The OE tires on my 2012 F150 XLT, Michelin LTX A/T2, gave me 65,000 miles. Love the look of the tire. Performance in all types of weather and road conditions is excellant. I now have 20,000 + miles on the second set and they look brand new. I'll buy a third set for sure.

Very impressed

This was my first Michelin tie purchase for my Chevy Silverado 4x4. I hesitated for years because of the additional cost, couldn't afford it, but I live these tires. They completely changed the feel of my truck. The ride is amazing, the drive/handling is like new and the tires are holding up extremely well. Love them!

Excellent Tires - Just Bought 2nd Set

I love these tires. I mainly drive on-road but these tires have an aggressive tread pattern that helps a lot when off-road or in snow. They do not have any road noise. I drive very aggressively and they have great traction. I have also hit water at highway speeds and have never hydroplaned. I got great mileage out of my last set but they do not get as much mileage as some of Michelin's other tires. I'm alright with the mileage trade-off for the extra traction in adverse conditions.

Shopping for my third set

I am now shopping for my third set. I have about 80,000 miles on this set. One thing I have noticed, do not inflate to max pressure on the sidewall. Stick to your vehicle's recommendation. I have always run 45 psi in mine and my 2000 Silverado handles very well. Had a quick oil change place pump them up to 80 psi once without asking me. It made for an incredably harsh ride with a lot of sliding/understeer. Follow vehicle recommendations and you will be fine.

LTX A/T2 best all terrain tire

I purchased the LTX A/T2 after searching and researching for the best all around all terrain tire. When I say all around I examined tire capabilities, wet and dry traction, road noise, load range, etc. While the LTX A/T 2 is expensive you get what you pay for. These have been on my Silverado for nearly 3 years and the hardly look worn. Traction is excellent, wet or dry, and for an all terrain they do well off road. I rotate at every oil change and have never had to rebalance these tires. I have always liked Michelins on my passenger cars and would buy another set for this truck (if I ever wear them out)!
