Best averal tire

I drive a 2003 Ram 2500 crew cab, it now has 216000 miles on it, this truck had these tires on it when i purchased it new in late 2002, replaced them at 110000 miles and i am now looking for another set. there is plenty of tire left on the rear but my shocks are bad up front (original shocks) so i need 2 new tires, most likely i will purchase 4., I pull a utility trailers and a Boat/trailer with this truck, cant say enough good things about these tires.

These tires far surpassed ...

These tires far surpassed my expectations in every way. I put over 75,000 miles on my first set towing a heavy horse trailer and occasional off-road driving, and the spare never touched the ground - and the tires still had miles to go. It doesn't get better than that.

Now what?

I've used Michelin tires for many years and never had a problem. I have a vibration problem with my Kia (1007 Sportage) and every thing, and I mean everything, has been checked and the last resort was to put 4 new tires on. I put on the same tire that were on the car, Michelins of course. The current tires were near aging out even though they were only about half worn out. So new tires—but the same vibration. Now what do I do. The car has been gone over twice by two different tech, both fully certified and both are stumped. Now what. The tires are great though.

Excellent wear and Ride

2500 dodge ram 4x4 diesel 4dr. These tires have 45,000 and still have 45% tread left. I believe they are partly responsible for my good fuel mileage also. I have Never had a tire on a Pickup last like these. Great in heavy rain. No complaints in snow. My off road is occasional and I they have performed well till I get in mud then they just get me by but I have never been stuck either. If you don't have a lot of mud these are the tire. If I had lots of snow I might go with K/O's but this one is doing very well. I will buy these again, just sorry i didn't find these decades ago.

rugged trail vs all terrain t/a ko2

Dear bfg we are original owners of a 2007 Ford f 150 4x4 supercrew with 105,000 the original factory installed rugged trails were replaced in 2012 at 53,000 miles we now are ready to replace the second with the before mentioned 105,000 miles they are wearing very evenly but are starting to get some cracks between tread we live in Chicago so we have all four seasons here we don't do any off road driving so I'm thinking. Of just staying with the rugged trails for a third time they ride and handle awesome in snow they grip great but I also use the four wheel drive if needed I was contemplating the a/t ko2 we mostly drive highway but I'm wondering your thoughts the rugged trail s really gave me good mileage and we 've rotated as instructed All and any advice would be greatly appreciated THANKS AGAIN FOR A GREAT PRODUCT!

I would recommend them

These came with my 2012 Toyoda Tundra when I bought the vehicle. I have put 56,00 miles on them and have absolutely no complaints. I drive on a lot of gravel and do a lot of long distance commuting. They are quiet and wear great. I will be upgrading to some AT TKOs just for the fact I go off-roading more frequently now.

Nice tires but not performance oriented enough

Tires ride smoothly and quietly. Was hoping to replace my Michelin Primacy with another set of Michelin Primacy. Old tires had plenty of tread but were getting old (summer only car with low mileage). The Defender do not corner like the Primacy. The Primacy were more performance oriented and you can tell the difference. Unfortunately the Primacy in my tire size is no longer available (225R60/16). I do not drive like a race car driver but when I made a U-turn, you could tell they didn't grip the same. Also when making a left turn with and advanced light, sometimes I can tell my tires are slipping (accelerate a little too hard for the tires). I wish the Primacy were still available in my size.

best tires I've ever had!

Rugged Trail TAs came standard on the 03 Excursion. The powerstroke diesel makes 325 HP and 545 FP torque stock. I reprogrammed the ECM and TCM for high performance and I pull a 8000# cargo trailer and 30' travel trailer. This is no grocery gitr. After 85K I bought another set. These have 97K and have another 5-15K left. I am pricing another set for this winter. I want to find them in a larger diameter because 265's look ridiculously small for this size SUV. These tires are a great value, don't let anybody tell you otherwise. Joe U. Green Bay

Tires were Awful!

I bought a brand new suv with these tires. After taking it into the dealership for service, they told me I needed new tires. I was floored. The car is less than 2 years old and only has 23,700 miles. I drive around town and drive the freeways on the weekends. Nothing extreme, simple driving. Very disappointing with the life of this tire.

Weird tire experience

This tire was the original equipment on my 05 F150 SuperCrew Lariat 4x4 which I purchased used with 40,000 miles. When I bought the truck the existing tires looked very good but not quite new, so I'm not sure of the miles on them. Anyway, I rode those babies for another 60,000 miles! For the last couple years of their life, they looked kinda scary. The tires were weather checked and all of the treads looked like they were beginning to separate. The tread depth wasn't great, but wear was even and still had acceptable depth after all those miles. The biggest drawback was traction. It sucks. Preparing for a cross country trek to Montana from Ohio I decided to buy a whole new set to replace my scary looking set because highway use is OUTSTANDING. Now as I prepare for another set of skins, I'm going with B.F. Goodrich once again, but I've frankly had enough of this model. With my odometer now at 165,000, I don't see anymore long cross country excursions in it's future (but who knows). I've grown so tired of the lack of traction with these things. Even when new, I got stuck ON MY WET LAWN in 2WD. Seriously, I only sunk in about 1" and these tires couldn't handle it. (I would never put these on a 2WD truck) Snow? 4x4 is required. I'm returning to my old favorite, the All Terrain T/A. I moved away from the AT to gain tread life, but no more. This is a great tire for long life if you don't mind them looking scary for the last 20,000 miles. Great ride and dry handling. Don't buy if traction is of any concern to you at all. My father has had the same experience with his 4x4 Crew Cab SuperDuty.
