I would recommend them

These came with my 2012 Toyoda Tundra when I bought the vehicle. I have put 56,00 miles on them and have absolutely no complaints. I drive on a lot of gravel and do a lot of long distance commuting. They are quiet and wear great. I will be upgrading to some AT TKOs just for the fact I go off-roading more frequently now.

Great Tires

I only use Michelin Tires on both of my vehicles, and have for many years, Michelin Defenders in the summer & Michelin X-Ice in the winter. I have always received great service, traction & ride, and highly recommend Michelin Tires to my Family & anyone who has asked.,

Extremely Comfortable and Quiet

This year, it was time to buy new tires for my Honda CR-V 2018. I researched a lot and came to the idea that Michelin Defender 2 is the best choice. I bought them and I could not believe how fantastic they are. Defender 2 is very quiet and comfortable on both highways and roads. In addition to comfort which was my first priority, they are excellent at handling and maintaining vehicle stability, even compare to the factory-installed tires which were not Michelin. I realized why Michelin is the number 1 brand trie in the world. As a friendly reminder, tire is the most important part of a vehicle and they must be the best. Spend your money wisely, buy Michelin, and enjoy your everyday ride. I never go with any other brands. I highly recommend Defender 2. Rest assured you will never regret your purchase.

sidewalls cut easily

Came stock on 2010 Dodge 2500 pickup, 14000 mi. road & highway use , plowed park lot of my business twice in 2011. replaced r/f tire 9/2012 cut in sidewall, was going to rotate spare onto front & buy (1) new tire , new spare had cuts on sidewall just from hanging under truck, cant use new spare. Now have to buy second tire. Not happy!!! I'm sure the warr. will be just as good? Ran BFG radial T/A's for 15 years on 74 pwrwagon, used for lots of plowing & pounded them off road, not one problem!

not for snow

I use these tires for Ice fishing and commuting to and from work on a 2007 dbl cab 4x4 tacoma in the colder months. They look nice have nice white letters on the side, quiet and smooth on the road. These tires come from a manufacturer that makes great tires ie. radial ta's. The bad- From day one they were dangerous in snow. The tread fill up with snow and you have slicks. So if there is any snow on the ground I am in 4 wheel drive. I get stuck in 4 inches of snow on flat asphault without 4wd often. My ABS gets a workout if there is snow. Stopping distances are really really long. Second dry rot is common on these tires in the tread area it doesn't hurt anything but cosmetically I don't like it. I have 35000 miles on them and have 1/8" tread remaining. They have worn evenly with regular rotations and dry traction remains fine. These tires would be fine in a san diego type climate.

First set lasted 96000 ...

First set lasted 96000 miles, The 2nd set had 90000 miles when I sold the truck, these tire were great on/off the road and driving in the rain/snow. I'am looking to replace my Goodyear wrangler 31x10.5x15 on my 89 toyota 4x4 truck with the rugged trails, but found that these tires are not being made anymore, To bad, these were great tires.

under 2500 miles

New tires on 2012 Tundra. Under 2,500 miles and got an impact puncture on a gravel road. Not impressed with sidewall construction and would never use off road. No idea how long they will last but will be replacing them as soon as possible. They are nice if only used on pavement.

Best Heavy Duty Pickup Tires

I'm on my second set of Rugged Trail tires on my Dodge Ram 2500 Heavy Duty 4x4. These are without a doubt the best combination of traction and highway performance possible. I got 70,000 miles out of the first set and may get more out of the second set that are pushing 52,000 miles now. The tread design seems to be a less aggressive version of the worlds best all terrain tire, the BFG All Terrain. Something about that tread design makes them the best for traction and wear. I have a combined 121,000 miles on Rugged Trail tires with no problems and no complaints. I still have at least 20,000 miles left on these and my tire guy told me today that I couldn't do any better than these for millage. These things could fail from aging before they wear out!

Worked great, but wore out really fast.

My 2015 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road came with Rugged Trail T/A 265/70R16 tires. They worked really well for the first two years or so, but then started to wear down really fast. I'm at 36,000 miles and they are completely smoked. They're pretty close to the wear bar already. To be fair, I put 'em through their paces with a mixture of long highway trips and off-road fun (mostly on rocky terrain in Colorado and rock/sand in Utah).

We understand the Rugged Trail T/A tires on your 2015 Toyota Tacoma did not meet your expectation in terms of mileage. A member of our Consumer Care team will be in contact with you. You may also reach our office at 1-866-866-6605.

Pretty scared by the reviews

I just put these in my 2011 f-150 supercrew after inwas told inwas getting the Rugged Terrain. I went with the rugged trail because its the size they had and my oem wrangler SR As were wore out. Its the families primary vehicle and by these reviews I am scared to death to drive in anything other than sunshine. I mean i read reviews on the GY Wrangler SRAs were not good for snow and ice but they never gave me trouble. But these reviews are down right scary with my 14, 6 and 1 month old. They seem to handle fine on dry pavement, but very stressed now about when the weather comes. I just wish people would say more about their trouble in bad weather like are they hydroplaning bc they are doing 80mph down the highway in the pouring rain or is it 10 degrees outside when the snow is packing in the tread. Ugh. Im not sure if i regret my purchase but defintely dont feel like finding out the hard way!!!
