FANTASTIC!!!!!!

These tires are AWESOME!!!!! I have 2009 Ford F-150 SuperCab 4x4 that has turned over 406,000 miles that I use for work as a Project Manager for a precast concrete company. 90% of my traveling for work is on the highway running 60 to 75 mph. The factory tires went to 67,000+, then I put a set of BFGoodrich Rugged Trail T/A tires on to give them a try. With the large amount of traveling that I do I needed an excellent set of tires that could live up to a lot of miles all year round. I found that with the Rugged Trail T/As. The first set on the truck I ran to 157,000+ miles. Still had good tread, but the sidewalls started having cracking that made me want to replace them which I went back with the Rugged Trail due to the excellent life I got out of the first ones. The second set of Rugged Trails I ran to 181,000+ miles. Once again, the tires still had good tread on them, I changed them due to the sidewalls having cracking. My mechanic said I could have probably ran them another 50,000 and they would have been fine because the cracking was only the outer layer of rubber from the heat of the pavement in the summer time, but being I'm out of town the biggest part of my time I told him to go ahead and change them. The third set of BFGoodrich Rugged Trail T/As went on my truck a week ago. I have had outstanding service with these tires and as long as BFG is selling them I'm going to keep buying them without a second thought. I rotate my tires every single oil change (6,000,7,000 miles) and check the air pressure on a regular basis. I've never had an issue with cupping or uneven wear on either set I have had on my truck and in matter fact, my mechanic took the 181,000+ tires home with him since they were still in good enough shape that they could be put on a truck for someone that may not have the cash for a new set at the time. Excellent job BFG. It has been a long time since I have came across a product that is actually 100% worth the money that a customer pays for it.

Belays split in tread on every tire

Drive lots of highway miles and every tire wore out the exact same, a goose egg split in the bands down the center of the tread. Front two gave out at 45000 in 2.5 years and the rears now just a 3 years and 50000... low grade tire for slightly higher price compared to off brand

Record Wear

I have a F350 King Ranch Dually and have 138,400 Miles on my original factory BF Goodrich 17" tires, they have never been off the truck to date, and still going. Never rotated, never anything done to them except 1 plug from a nail hole. Maybe have 5,000 miles life left then time for new ones.

promising but not for me

Bought as a replacement for Primacy AS. The Primacy were down to 4/32 by only 33K miles. The defender 2's were louder and not nearly as good in the wet. Also not a fan of the sidewall near the tread. Probably looks good on an SUV, but no so much on a sedan. A bit rugged looking. Exchanged for the Primacy AS again... i'll deal with them not lasting as long for a smoother quieter ride and more confidence in the wet.

These tires are great! ...

These tires are great! They take me anywhere I choose to go,on and especially off-road! My gas mileage has remained incredible, also the car rides even smoother than it did before I instaled the BF'S. The solid construction of the tires allow me to air them down for a superior ride with no resistance on my little 4-CYL. Resulting in great fuel economy! GREAT WORK YA'LL! It's BF'S or walk!

Poor milage before replacement

My son replaced the factory original tires on his Toyota Tundra Crew cab with these tires. They did not last more than 25,000 miles before they needed to be replaced. He gave the truck to me when it had 14.000 miles. It has 47,000 now The gas millage and handling were normal but the poor millage obtained is making me replace them with a different tire It seems that every other revied here has the same complaint :-(

Great Tire

The ride is so smooth and the noise level is so much better than the tires that were on the car when I originally purchased it gently used. I use the car when taking my parents to their doctors appointment and both of them commented about the difference in the ride and the cars handling in taking turns. My brother always recommends Michelin, and my dad was impressed by the name drop and said “there the best”. The tread is top notch and the warrantee impeccable, they seem well constructed. I live in a state famous for its potholes and having the worst roads in the country, and these tires have handled the heavy construction zones of nearly every highway being in constant state of repair but never ever being done and always ending up worse than when they started “improving” them.

Horrible

I would not recommend these tires to anyone. I purchased them one week shy of two years ago and just spent the last three hours getting new tires. They only lasted 25k miles. I drive mostly in city or highway. They only went off road a couple of times, on very easy trails. I am so disappointed! They look good, that's about it.

Sidewall deteriorating

I have this tire on my 2006 Dodge Ram 3500 Laramie deisel Mega Cab. I have approx 80,000 miles on the tires. The tread is still good for another 10,000 but the sidewall has been deteriorating since 2008. It started on one tire then began to spread to additional tires. I guess I will be forced to replace the tires before the tread is worn out simply because the sidewall looks like it will split anytime. I pull 7 different trailers up and down the highway ahd was very diligent about tire rotation/inflation. I do not believe I have abused the tires would like to replace with same but have my reservations now.

90,000 Miles

I've just (9/23/13) replaced 4 BF Goodrich Rugged Trail T/A tires on my 4X4 pick up truck. I knew it had been a while since I'd put them on so I checked my records and found that I'd purchased those tires on 9/15/06 at 94,600 miles. When I replaced those tires, my odometer read 185,400. Now I'm no mathematician, but I add that up to 90,800, a remarkable number of miles for one set of tires. 7 years and 90,000 miles (I know I could have easily made it 100,000), you can bet your house that I replaced those 4 tires with 4 more Rugged Trail T/A's!
