i bought two of these. i live by a lake and have marsh all around my property. it has filled the basket at least three times each already. there were alot of mosquitos every time along with some moths and flys. the amount of bugs near the house is at least 70% better than last year! i have not had a problem with either bulb yet and one has been blown over twice! there are still bugs but the mosquitos have been incredibly less than years past.

I could not see a single mosquito that was captured by this thing. What I could see were moths...lots and lots of moths...that went into the light and died. After cleaning up the carnage that occurred over just one night packaged them up and returned.

It's been running for about a month now and looking in the basket I see a lot of moths. Not really seeing any mosquitoes, they are so small, but we haven't been getting bit by them since we installed it. I see a few beetles. I see one fly. We mainly got this for our fly issue so I'm giving it minus one star for that. Flies don't care about it.

I ordered 2 of these units and received them Friday. The've been running for less than 3 days, but the bulb in one unit burned out. I replaced it, which was not as simple as it should be if bulb replacement is a regular occurrence. The metal stand on the second unit has an ill-fitting tube joint. It functions ok but it will not click into place as designed. Despite these mechanical frustrations, it seems to function quietly. So far it seems to be catching as many moths and other insects as mosquitoes, but we'll give it some time to see if it actually helps break the breeding cycle as advertised.

I've had it running for about a week and a half. It has caught a good bit of insects, my complaint however would be that I've had to clean it out multiple times already not due to being full but because something got stuck in the fan part. The first time it was a fried tree frog and the second and third time it was beetles.

This works great! Best bug zapper trap I've ever owned. I just emptied it yesterday and majority of the insects were mosquitoes. I should have taken a picture, but didn't think I was going to leave a review. I went to sams store today to buy 2 more but they were sold out in stores.

I bought two of these and the light bulb does not stay on for more than a second after being turned on. I left them on anyway and they only caught a few moths. I emailed the company explaining the problem asking for a remedy and they have not responded. I will be returning both of them to Sam's Club. I do not recommend buying this item

I put it outside and used it for 2-3 weeks hoping it would take care of the mosquito problem. Only thing it caught was moths and a ladybug. When i went to empty it there were 4 or so alive bugs as well. Ive had much better results with the older style ones that zap them at half the price.

So far so good. We have been pretty much bug free and we bought two.

If you are looking for a moth catcher, go with this. It does nothing else
