Has a really nice glow to it

For about $100 you can have this amazingly overpriced beautiful night light, because that's pretty much all its good for unfortunately. It's caught a few moths in the past week and one or two flies but our problem is bees and mosquitos. Bees are still harrassing us and you can see a swarm of mosquitos following our chickens around not 10 feet from the dyna-not-a-trap. I'll be returning this asap.

The Best Insect Trap

I read the reviews before purchasing this DynaTrap Insect Trap with Pole Mount. I must proclaim the negative reviews were not true in my case. I live out in the country, a swamp behind my house, many many cattle farms, with cotton fields, and peanut fields. I have had this InsectTrap on for a week now, 24/7 and when you turn the front light on to go out or to welcome company, "There are NO FLYING BUGS" Whatsoever. Thank you Sam's Club for selling a valuable product.

Worked well while it lasted

Caught tons of mosquitoes and flying bugs while it worked. When the bulb burnt out I easily replaced the bulb, however, the bulb did no work. Thinking it was the bulb, I swapped it out with another new bulb. The second new bulb did not work either. So now I have a trap that will suck in bugs should they accidentally fly in it... definitely nothing there now to attract them.

It helps me with bugs of all sorts

I have had this bug machine for two months. It does fill up in about 5 days and I have to dump and yes some are not dead yet but that is how this works. It seems to keep misquotes down for me as well as moths. Plus it is a nice little night light for the dogs to go out on the deck in the back. It came with extra bulbs and I have not had to change that yet. I am happy with my purchase.

Doesn't catch mosquitoes

Bought this to help with the gazillion mosquitoes in our yard. It catches June bugs and moths quite well but doesn't really catch any mosquitoes. So I guess if you need to get rid of June bugs or moths, this really does work great for that! Unfortunately it doesn't really attract any other bugs.

For best results, we recommend placing your trap 20-40 feet from where you are spending time in your yard, and close to mosquito breeding areas. Adding our attractant will help increase your catch as well. Please give us a call at 877-403-8727 so we can learn more about your specific situation and offer additional assistance.

expect to work only 14 months

the fan went out 1 year and 2 months after I bought it…customer support said I have to buy a new one. Sent a 15% discount off the next one…woohoo Didn't even get to use the 2 replaceable bulbs. Was only used during the spring summer fall months…April to October.. Why would I buy another one of these faulty devices? Especially from a company that doesn't stand beside there product and the customer support isn't for the customer.

I am sorry to hear about the trap! The trap is backed and supported by our 1 year replacement policy. Unfortunately if it is beyond that period, a new trap will need to be purchased.

It's an East TX life saver

I bought two of these for around my home. I placed them near areas where I have the most mosquitoes- near my front door and in my back yard. I live in East TX and due to the heavy rain this winter; the mosquitoes are out in full force! I can finally open my front door without mosquitoes coming in!!! I can't believe it!!! I would give this a 10 star rating if it let me. I think all the reviews that say it doesn't work, have it placed in areas that do not have many mosquitoes. I have had it up for a week and a half, and already have had a 1/2 cup full of dead mosquitoes. It does kill a few moths, etc, but around my house, mostly mosquitoes. I highly recommend this product!

A bug catcher

I bought this 2 years ago, and ran it all summer the first year. I caught 3 mosquitos ALL summer. There were many in my back yard that year. The second summer, the unit remained in storage, as it was not even worth the cost of electricty to run it. It is still in storage, and will soon be sent to the dump.

So far it's great.

I just purchased this yesterday. It has been running for 24 hours near my back deck and I now have a pile of dead mosquitos in the canister. Assembled easily, without tools, in about 5 minutes. Much more user friendly than similar larger propane devices I've used in the past. So far, I would say well worth the money.

Does its job.

Bought one two years ago, Does its job well in reducing flies, knats, moths and mosquitos. Not so great on wasps. Let it run 24 hours per day and may empty it once a week or so. A few live ones still in it but could do better if a covered it with a plastic bag when taking the trap bin off. Changing the bulb can be a challenge when having to turn to unit upside down to take our the four screws that hold the fan and frame but not that difficult once you ge the hang of it. (Directions could be better.) Bought a second one last year to supplement and clear another area. Did find that the fan stopped once, but upon investigtion found a larger bug had gotten jammed brtween the edge of one of the blades and the housing. Cleared it and the fan ran again just fine. (Found that taking the trap cage off and carefully giving the fan a little nudge with an old chopstick rowked great,) They seem to survive rain and storms pretty well - though - a high wind blew one over next the house and snapped the unit off the pole. Going to Sams to replace it.
