Releases color when cooked

Let me start by saying it has a strong seafood smell, which is understandable, but when I put in the pan to cook, it released some bright orange color, as if they had added food coloring to mimic actual wild caught shrimp. I made it with ghee butter and garlic, so taste was good, but still suspicious about that color!

May be from way down South but the Super Quality

I hope our local Sam's continues stocking this shrimp! This is a fair price for what I believe is the best flavor beside getting them right off the boat alive and cooking them. I used to live on the coast and always bought my shrimp live and fresh. The price per pound is at the moment at our store $9/pound and considering the work cleaning them and waste with head, tails, and shell, I think this is an excellent price. I was afraid to try them since they weren't wild caught in the USA but did it anyway and I have loved them ever since. I haven't tried them fried since I can't have the carbs but boiling them and making my own cocktail sauce is super for my family, friends and I!! My store keeps running out of them fast so I have been stock piling them like toilet paper. HA! I always use "Louisiana Fish Fry Company" for shrimp, crab and craw fish boil in a box with a boiling bag full of the perfect spice combinations. Not spicy just spice that will make your cocktail shrimp great plus the spice will be cooked on raw shrimp not in the shell. They come 16 to 30 shrimp per pound which are nice size. They are Wild Caught but from Argentina. I believe they are not the poor quality of most seafood products shipped to the USA.

Decrease in quality

I had been eating these for several years. The last 6 months or so, they added something, probably additives, causing the odd transparent slimy thing around the shrimp. I tried a couple of batches and they were all the same. I had since stopped purchasing.

The absolute BEST frozen shrimp available !!!!!!

Been buying these raw shrimp since the pandemic began. These are already peeled and cleaned. Nice size and pretty hard to overcook. Taste and texture is equal to or better than lobster. Don't ever stop selling this item!!!! I'd give it a 10 star rating if I could.

Delicious Argentine Shrimp!

We bought these prawns a month ago. Sautéed with olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, and butter. Tossed over some pasta and it was delicious. Second time cooking these we use the provided recipe on the label. Argentine red shrimp in a chimmichuri sauce. It was delicious too. I would recommend doubling the chimmichuri sauce as it goes with everything.

Always bought, the last one yuck!

I only eat wild fish and shrimp. I do not eat farmed at all. Was happy to find wild at Sam's again. I have bought these several times and enjoyed. The last bag tasted funny and seemed to have excess amount of water. Probably will not buy again. Couldn't eat, went in trash.
