Great tires... Restores "drive anywhere" feel

I bought these to replace the OEM tires on my 2018 4WD Silverado LT Extended Cab. The OEM tires probably had a 10,000 miles left on them, but when the temperature got too far below freezing, the rubber hardened up so much I was fishtailing going around corners on dry pavement and when it snowed, I was sliding through intersections like I was on skies. I decided on the BFGoodrich Trail Terrain to replace them. I had a good experience with their KO2 tires on my previous truck, but wanted something this time around slightly less aggressive that can still handle a good snowfall. I was hesitant at first to buy the Trail Terrain based on a review that said they have poor wet traction, but there's nothing to worry about there. I couldn't be happier with this purchase... they instantly made my truck better. When I bought these tires, the temperature was in the single digits for a few days and there was no spinning or fishtailing at all, they had great grip. I tested them by going into an unplowed parking lot with 8" of snow and slamming on the brakes. These tires dug in and stopped immediately. Also, they got going again with no trouble in 2WD. I also tested them on my driveway which had a packed snow-covered slope. My old tires wouldn't make it in 2WD, but these Trail Terrain not only easily went up it, I could stop and restart in 2WD with no problem. I've also since driven in pouring rainstorms and they go through standing water at highway speeds with no issues as well. Any gas mileage hit seems to be negligeable... maybe 0.5 to 1 mpg around town. These are great tires and you'll feel like you can drive anywhere. Don't hesitate to buy them.

Great tire

I've been using these on my Subaru Outback and have been very happy with them. Quiet at freeway speeds and good handling, great traction on snow and heavy rain. Off road/sandy conditions (think beach) traction also great. I decided to put these on my E-150 van which I also use for road trips and camping. I also like the raised white lettering and semi aggressive look. Highly recommend!

Good quality tires

Put a set of P225/65/R17 Trail Terrain TA's on my wife's 2022 Ford Bronco Sport Badlands Edition suv as the larger All Terrain K02's runon my F150 4x4 truck aren't available in this size. After the first 4000 miles, we are very pleased with the ride, grip, handling, and minimal noise. They got us through a very rough mountain winter with ease.

Perfect for highway and some off road

23k miles tread depth is still at 10! That's only part of my love of these tires. My gas mileage improved over the manufactures tires by 1 mile per gallon. These are quiet, comfortable and no road noise. I'm not a big off road person but, when I need to be off road I am not disappointed with the traction and handling. Driving in rain and snow is infrequent yet they handle as well as dry roads. These are perfect for my life style. Love the trail-terrain!!!

Great on-road all-terrains

I picked up a set of Trail Terrains for my 2022 Ford Explorer. I did a bunch of research before I bought these and was somewhat concerned by some reviews saying the tires were poor on ice. I have not found this to be true. I mostly drive in NW Wisconsin and Northern Minnesota and there has been plenty of snow and ice covering the roads this year. IMO the tires have performed well. Very low road noice, good handling in all conditions. I would buy these tires again.

I Love My Beefy Tires 🛞

I got these tires just before fall late July or August and we really didn’t have a heavy winter so I can’t tell you how they handle on the snow. I live in the city and it handled really good on black ice going super slow. A little bit more gas than I normally would with Progressive radial tires instead of aggressive beefy tires, but that’s what I wanted and I’m satisfied. It’s almost spring time 2026 and I will definitely be taking her off road to see how those tires handle. BFGoodrich will have to send me another review in six months to see how my spring and summer went with the brand new tires.

These tires are very hard to balance on Toyota Tacoma rims. Too much weight is needed and they hop. I've had to try and get them balanced three times. I just have to deal with it, I guess. All four brand new tires have side-to-side play. Makes my truck bounce. Not happy with them for the price point.

The Worst of All Worlds

I have put 12,000 miles on these tires and am not impressed. I bought them because I wanted a tire that had road manners, but were still capable to do some exploring, these do neither well. On paved roads they are awful in the rain. They spin and slide at every stop light. In the snow they are just as bad. Often getting stuck in the typical unplowed parking lot. They were supposedly "designed to resist chipping and tearing on gravel" but it seems gravel is the greatest issue. Two separate tires have gotten punctures this month from nothing more than your typical gravel road. Both punctures split the tire and lost all air in a couple feet stranding me. This is not what would be expected from the "Trail Terrain." I would not recommend these tires to anyone as they are not good in inclement weather, mediocre on pavement and do not offer any advantage on the trail.

BFG trail terrain

Trail terrain tires: if you’re truck makes horsepower as my 3.5 ecoboost does 500 plus horsepower don’t waste your money they will not hook up in the rain I don’t care how much air you put in them they just won’t hook up. Really unhappy with these tires have about 22,000 on them and they don’t work on my truck actually think they are dangerous can’t wait to put Goodyears back on the truck so if you make real horsepower stay away from these tires
