We've all made the mistake of buying something based on the picture. In that regard I am happy to report that this product looks even better once installed than in videos or pictures. You just have to see it to believe it. Once the saturation and other settings are tuned to your liking it really adds to the immersion of watching media or playing games. It's really hard to describe but it's a welcome addition to our home entertainment center. One small note; the setup instructions can be tough to follow. It would really help if the Govee Home app provided a Google Assistant link into the devices settings during setup. I struggled to understand the directions for that part of the installation in no small part because the images and menu options provided are not up to date with the current Google Assistant/Google Home apps.

Pros: Excellent customer service(replacing a faulty part that caused the immersion lights to not fully turn off.) Very responsive lighting to scene changes in movies or shows. Easy to customize with different options Interface on the app was really easy to navigate around. Cons: The lights seemed like they were made for a 65 inch tv. So it was a bit weird to stick to my 55 inch. Faulty plug that caused it to have a piece that didnt turn off unless you unplugged it(Still waiting for the part being sent in to see if it fixes) Saturation was a bit too high when i first turned it on so the colors were always too intense. Turn the saturation lower to get a better background feel. Overall cool product, fast customer service, just wish it came to me in perfect condition without any need for a fix.

I've done everything perfectly correctly but the color match is Terribble, Generates wrong colors at wrong time does do much of anything it said it was gonna just absolutely terriblely disappointed with my purchase as of right now will change my review if the issue is ever resolved but not worth the money at all as of right now

I wish I would have done this sooner. Installation is fairly easy if you pay attention to diagrams and follow the instructions. Govee app is fairly intuitive and easy to use. A slightly better explanation of the differences between "Part" and "All" on the settings would likely help some customers. Part means that the colors on the screen are displayed by the LEDs closest to the side. All means that all LEDs display the same color based on what is in the screen. Part tracks colors across the screen. All just displays one color.

If you have a 75” tv like me with no bezels you may want to choose the 55”-65” version over the 75”-85” one. The strips literally go all the way to the edge of my tv and they are only in about 1/2” from the edge. it was very hard to keep the wires from hanging over the edge and I can’t keep the wires back enough to prevent them creating a shadow at the corners that looks ugly. Not to mention the camera is much longer on the 75”-85” version. I wish I had bought the smaller kit with the side bars for essentially the same price as this kit as it doesn’t fit my tv well and I’m not happy with it but it’s already stuck to the back of the tv so I can’t return it.

I am planning to get another for the downstairs tv when I remodel.I do recommend to adjust to a panoramic view though.

Bought it for myself now buying multiple for gifts. Calibration is easy and the lights look amazing. Luke's scene in the mandalorian rock. His green saber flows from left to right as red blasters shoot around the scene. Definitely enhances movies and the app has a ton of modes and options. Highly recommend.

Just installed this. Two issues specifically. 1. It's not long enough. I didn't even have room on the edges to loop the corner wires. I have large corner gaps and basically can't even see any glow on the bottom. Also colors aren't matching really. 2. Isn't enough LEDs per meter.

Overall it's OK but disappointed 1. Was disappointed to find the LED strips were not long enough to go fully around my 65 inch TV, there is no light in the corners. 2. It's a pain to setup, I had to run the calibration 20+ times to finally get it right. Then had to watch numerous YouTube videos on how to get the relative brightness, saturation, and white balance correct to have it actually work. After at least 2 hours I had it recognizing the colors correctly and looks cool, but the dark corners are still annoying.

For the price, there's nothing anywhere near this! I especially like the fact it uses a camera instead of the hdmi method like the pricier options use because I like to use my built in operating system that came with my smart TV. The colors, however, aren't 100% accurate and it tends to lean heavily on displaying blues for dark or black scenes and pinks instead of reds (even with the contrast all the way down). It's definitely great for movies and video games though
