Big O private label brand not as good!

I noticed some unusual wear on my tires after < 5,000 miles. When I took it back to Big O I found out that these tires are private label for only Big O locations. It looks like it is not the same quality. It looks like these are a cheap version to hit a price point! Very disappointed. Would not buy Continental or shop at Big O again.

Not good enough for an OEM install

Tires where installed by OEM on my new 2012 VW Passat TDI, they are noisy, hard to balance and show signs of extreme wear even before my first 15000 KM service at VW. My warranty claim to VW was refused since they do not deal directly with tire manufacturers or so I was told, and they blamed it on my driving habit.

Garbage Tires

These tires came on my 2012 Hyundai Elantra. I've owned the car for 17 months and have 13,300 miles on the car. I baby my vehicle, tires rotated as they should be. I had it in for the next tire rotation two days ago when the dealer tells me they need replaced NOW before we get any snow (I live in southwest PA). Tires are all worn evenly, but ANY tire should last more than 13,000 miles - oh wait, he said I MIGHT get another 1,000 -3,000 on them. I didn't have any problems with these tires, but I certainly would never buy them after this experience - and I'll be sure to check if they're stock on the next car I buy. It WILL make a difference in what I purchase next!

A wonderful All-Round Tire... :-)

I have read the reviews and own these tires myself, they are a Great Year Round tire with average treadwear. 40K tires, I got 45k out of them Not a tire for those of you that need to put your foot in it and take every corner like you are going to a fire Driven in Snow, Rain, (maybe not so much on ice), etc... Absolutly no complaints. Also, the roads here in Colorado Springs are horrible, these tires held up like champs... And yes, they do get a little noisier as they wear, don't all tires? Will

Manufacturers must get these free

These came standard on my son's VW rabbit, and on my Porsche Panamera 4S. That seems like an awful large price difference to cover with one tire. The problem is that these tires felt low on grip for the VW, let alone for the Porsche. Neither set lasted as long as an all-season should for either car. I replaced the VW with Coopers, and the Porsche with Michelins and have never looked back on either. Continental makes some great products, but this is not one of them. They do look nice though. Don't buy these tires just because they came on your vehicle. There are much better options for much less money.

These tires just don't last

Quite honestly I am baffled by the reviews of people saying they are getting 70-80k out of these tires. They came OEM on my Mercedes and I am replacing them this weekend at 21k like many of the other posters. I came to this site to see what they were rated for because I was surprised to be replacing them so early. I live in Southern California, so no real conditions that would cause premature tire loss and I am not one to drive this car hard. Mercedes does rotate tires as part of their service, but the service interval is every 10k miles which is probably why Continental asks for rotation every 6k miles. Oh well, won't waste money on another set.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Please keep in mind that although the basic service internal is 10,000 miles, the vehicle manufacture recommends rotating tires every 3,000 - 6,000 miles for all tires supplied as original equipment. If you have any question, please feel free to contact our office at continentaltire@custhelp.com.

Never again

I purchased a set of 4 exactly 2 years ago yesterday. 22,000 miles later, they need to be replaced. My tread depth is 1/32" and both right side tires are at a 3 with the lefts being a 4 and 5. I have had my tires rotated with every oil change, ever 3,000 miles so I am sorry, these are not worth it. The rights should at least have been covered under warranty.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. Based on the information provided, a low tread depth of 1/32" with a high tread depth ranging from 3/32" - 5/32", this may point towards a vehicle issue. For ongoing tracking, it is a good idea to request tread depth measurements across the face of the tires and in three locations around the circumference.

impressive

We purchased a factory new 2008 Ford Fusion and these tires came with the car. Regular rotations and 70,000 miles later, they easily just passed inspection! Even this year alone, the car has taken us through snow storms in Arkansas and Texas and we never even though about the tires as they have always come through for us. The Texas rains and extreme heat have always been there to offer up torture and we just keep rolling along.

DO NOT BUY THESE TIRES

I have purchased 5 of these tires in the last year and now I need a new one. They wear excessively fast, I hit a pot hole once and it it went flat, This last tire went flat on what I can only see rock salt to be the cause. 214 Mercedes offset package.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. Based on the review, this is damage from impacts with a curb or pothole. Please keep in mind that all replacement Continental Tires included coverage for accidental damage from road hazards for 12-months or the first 2/32" of treadwear; whichever, comes first. https://continentaltire.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/848

Almost 50,000 miles on tires - at 3/32

I own 2009 BMW 328i sedan with optional 17 inch wheels and my tires came as original equipment (run-flats). My car is currently at 49000 miles and I checked the treads on my tires - currently at 3/32 on all tires. Per recommendation of BMW, I kept the tires properly inflated at all times and did not rotate the tires. (BMW does not recommend tire rotations) I am planning to replace these tires soon. I am going to get the same tires. On my previous BMW, I had same tires (16 inch ones - run flats) installed after original equipment Bridgestone run flats worn out only after 20000 miles. I am very satisfied with these tires. They last longer than other run flat tires and deliver excellent traction and performance. Run flat tires are usually noisy, but these tires are very quiet at all speeds.
