Excellent tire

This tire will not suit everyone for every occasion. For farm and light commercial use, this tire and its predecessor, the Steeltex AT have been excellent and widely available resources for our environment. I like that it doesn't pick up every rock in our roads with a 6/10 base. I will continue to buy this tire as long as the price doesn't get out of hand.

These have been a great tire

I hotshot with my truck and these tires have been great. Not sure of the circumstances on the less than favorable reviews, but I have had great service out of these. Keep pressures right for your application and they will serve you well. I've never had an issue with traction off-road or or winter road conditions. Wet weather traction has been good too. They are quiet and balanced really well. I will absolutely go back with these tires when I do replace the ones on my truck now. I'm a little over 54k miles as of today.

Long Lasting-Great Value

Had these installed 7 years and 65,000 miles ago! They're still going strong but I'm starting to get concerned at their age so will be replacing them over the next 4-6 weeks and I'll have over 66k on them by then. The tread still looks pretty good too! I'm very satisfied w them and I routinely haul a 3Horse trailer or a car hauler. I love BFS products!

Use these on all my fleet trucks

Not sure how or why there are so many complaints on these tires. I run these tires on all 88 of my trucks. The are all construction trucks and are on and off road equal amounts of time, Some of the trucks have trailers on them from day one till we get rid of them. We tow 15k-36k lbs. In the winter we plow and salt as well. Never had one problem with these tires. On average we get around 36-42k miles out of these tires. Normaly tires like this is you only see 30k out of them. If I wore to try to put another type of tire on any of these trucks my guys will be very upset as they love them as well and have them on there personal trucks.

Excellent Tire

These tires came mounted on the vehicle (2019 GMC 2500 HD) at time of purchase. We needed a 2500 pick-up and 10-ply tire for trailering, and these fit the bill. Never owned Firestone tires in the past - was always a Goodyear man. The amazing part of this whole thing is that I will have 75000 miles on them when I purchase another set at the end of November. Really not sure a Goodyear tires would give us that kind of milage. These tires are quiet going down the road, handle well on both dry and wet roads, and fair weel in the snow (upstate NY) as well. While there will still be some tread life remaining (and 5 years of life), we will change them out for a new set and can only hope the next set will give me another 75000 miles of service - even towing a 5th Wheel Trailer.

The only truck tire I will ever buy

First used these tires with my 2013 Ram 2500 in the harsh ND oil country. Put 55,000 miles on these tires in a year and they still had decent tread remaining. Rain, snow, ice, gravel, and highway comfort....all superior. Just put a brand new set on my 2007 F150 after the old ones were worn to about 5/32, I value performance over longevity, although I was pleased with the longevity of the previous tires. I've heard some people express their displeasure with sidewall flex and I will concede that this is indeed one area that is not superior. But I feel like I would need to sacrifice ride comfort to have better sidewall performance. I've driven Michelin LTX, BFG AT, Cooper Discoverer AT3, I will never buy anything but Transforce AT from now on.

Did not last long

These came OEM on my Ram 2500, they started off great. Had lots of deep snow within a month and they preformed great and rode good. 2nd winter with them at 10,000 miles, tires had wore down and did not continue to get around in snow very well. At 17,000 miles and never hauling a load in the bed over 500lbs or 5,000lbs on a trailer, I am replacing the tires before the snow starts, because I don't trust these tires in 6" snows(which is sad). I always liked Firestone, but now I'm afraid to spend the money for low quality

Worse tire and customer service

Bought the tires new from Ford dealer. Drove around 15,500 miles had rotated every 5k. At the 15,500 rotation ford found that a tire had separated on inside side wall. Two dealerships 4 people (2 techs and 2 service managers) looked at the tire and said yes its a separation. The dealer I bought the tires from send tire to firestone. They demanded it "cut." This was around 2 to almost 3 months of firestone dragging their feet. When I called firestone I was treated very terrible. And they had no intention of helping a customer of many years in both vehicle tires and ag tires. So my fix...when I got home none of my vehicles and ag equipment now have firestone tires. I can't break the company but they lost nearly $30k a year of my business. Hope if your looking to buy their tires this review will keep you from purchasing their tires.

Horrible

I had these come new on my 2015 Ram 2500 and the tires lasted 16,400. The tread was exactly the same on all 4 and it was down to nothing. I bought a new 2023 Ram 2500 and they came with with the same tire and actually asked if I could have them swapped out before taking the truck. Obviously they didn't do that, now my tires on this truck have 14,100 mile and they are nearly ready to change might have 1-2,000 miles left but winter is coming Anyone who wants to know I have rotated them 3 times and there dealer checked

Excessive ware

2019 Ram 2500- mostly highway miles towing a 5th wheel trailer well below the truck max capability, towing from northern NY to Colorado Springs, Colorado to Florida and back to NY, tires are kept at correct pressure and rotated @12,000 miles. Now at 24,000 miles the tires are at the ware bar limit. I would expect to get a least 45,000 to 50,000 out of these tires. I retired from working on heavy truck fleet over 40 years and I am fully aware of tire maintenance that is required. These Firestone tires are inferior to most other manufacturers.
