Good enough for a home gym

This is great for anyone who is looking into getting a basic home gym going. I like it and was easy to assemble. The down side I dont like about this workout cage is that when doing dips it does feel flimsy. An other negative is that when doing bicep curls standing up the center piece does hit the top about 3/4 of the way of a full rep. It would be nice to see that changed.

i love the rack, i feel the power of greyskull

I am 6' 3" 210 lb ex collegiate football player. I was fortunate to have Power Lift racks in our training facility. When I was done with college and short NFL career, I got into Crossfit and I loved it. It's been about three years now and I wanted something for my home. Basic strength training in my garage on my off days from Crossfit. I had high expectations for a squat rack because of what I was use to. I'm tellin you right now, this rack is solid. There is nothing fancy about it. Simple, structurally sound design that I put together by myself in about an hour or so. I have the dip attachment that hooks up in seconds and it does great. I chose to get one pull up bar and it doesn't budge when I do strict pull-ups. I have just enough clearance between the ceiling and the bar to get my chin over the bar. I also got the wheels to attach to the back of the rig. On a beautiful day I'll roll it outside and get a lift in the sun. I will get the attachment soon to store my plates on the back end. As you can see in the photo, I got the rippetoe bar. Love it. It's 1mm thicker than most Crossfit bars which I prefer. Work on my grip even more. I put together my own box. You should do it. It's a fun project. Just feels good to build something yourself. My bench is from Raw Equipment. It does the job. Little uneven but I put a 2 1/2 lb plate under one side and its level. Quite a bit cheaper than rogues, but I'm sure there bench is solid. More than you probably want, but that's how satisfied I am with this rack and my wife giving me the opportunity to have it. « less

Got this today shipment was great. Take your time putting it together the holes are exact you put it together to fast and you will have a rough time. It works great for the price had to take it for a workout right away. The dip station like other reviews said is not great unless your under 170 lbs but I just use them for extra storage for plates. The pully system works amazing. For the price this is the way to go.

Could be perfect...

Ive actually just sold a full power rack with a 3,000lb weight capacity for this Marcy. I love them. The size is perfect for me - not too big, tall or wide. I love having the plate storage in the back and not sides too. Having the upper and lower cable stations adds so much versatility. The removable dip handles dont take so much room like my matador did. I got a set of heavier duty j-hooks and have 1 high and 1 low. Lastly, theres something about this pull/chin up station that feels really comfortable for me - it just feels better. The only complaint I have is that I wish they made this in 11 gauge steel - I would pay more for it. Overall, I am super happy. Great set up for all but the heaviest lifters.

Amazing product! Highly recommend

This cage is absolutely amazing. It is a bit of a hassle putting it together with just one person. However, it is totally worth it. All of the features are excellent. The pull up bar, pulleys, the dips, the rack, they are all excellent. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking to workout from home.

Son is very pleased

Purchased this for my 13 year old as it had all the components of what he was looking for in a home workout at a reasonable price. It was easy to put together. Took about 2 1/2 hours. The hardware was well numbered and the piece parts were easily identified. Upon completion, we found it to be stable and feel confident that the materials are of good quality.

Pleasantly impressed

Pros: Easy to assemble. Solid and stable. Footprint is not on big and not too small. The dip bars are a nice bonus. Enough room for bench press. The lat-pulldown/row attachment does not get in the way of the bench. Decent price. Cons: Tight fit for squats but can be done with a little practice. I would prefer about 2 more inches of depth between the upright posts to give more room for squats. Overall I feel I got a better than expected gym at this price.

Marcy Home Gym MWM-7041

Due to covid I have been working out from past 2020 at home using just bumper plates, dumbbells and a barbell. I bought the Marcy Home Gym 7041 and I made the best choice since it can be used to do all the traditional work outs. The quality is excellent and all the safety rods are perfect to avoid injuries. It is easily assembled with in 2 to 3 hours. Over all great addition to my work out.

For the price, I think it’s a very good deal.

A bit of background… I’ve been bodybuilding for over 25 years, mostly in gyms. Let’s start with the bad stuff first… The paint is cheap… regular spray paint. The very first time I used the bar-catches, the cage was scratched when I removed them. I’m not sure even more that one coat of paint was used. Marcy easily could’ve spent a little bit more for the good paint. Secondly… the lat bar and tricep bars are cheap, and the welding is very sloppy on them. My lat-bar collar isn’t even centered. Sloppy welding! Also, the catches and dip bars we so filthy and scratched… I think they may have been previously used? I had to spend quite a bit of time cleaning them. One of the dip bars arrived bent, so I had to notify Marcy. I received the replacement in about a week. Now for the good stuff. It is pretty sturdy. I’m currently 218 lbs and the dip bars held up pretty well… very little movement of the cage. (Note: I have 75 lb dumbells on each side in the ‘kettle bell’ racks

Marcy Cage Home Gym

Excellent rack system, Marcy really knows how to give home gym users alot in a compact package. Great bench press setup, squat rack, phenomenal cable system (smooth) for push downs, pull downs, rowing, other cable exercises. Very stable and has good weight storage system.
