many great features, but excellent handling

My premier A/S 225/60/18 are worn out on my Subaru Outback 35,000 miles . Have been rotated according to requirements . Disapointed with the wear/longevity issue but satisfied with every other aspect of the tire Will I buy the again? We shall see, We shall see.

Did not last

I got these tires almost exactly 2 years ago in November 2017, and am currently replacing them with only 50,000km driven on them. I do use them year round, and these were replacing the original tires I had on my car, also driven on year round, and they lasted 80,000km and 4 years

Found to be everything Michelin claims.

I just bought a set of Premier A/S for my Honda Pilot. I ordered them based on the Michelin rating numbers and price. While I waited for them to come in I read the reviews and found a lot of bad reviews complaining of noise, rough handling and vibration. I found these to be untrue on my Pilot Touring I hear almost no road noise at any speed. Nor do I feel any vibration or excessive harshness yet the tires yeild a feeling of control and confidence.

Noise Annoys

In July I purchased four 205/55R16 M1 Premier AS tires for my 2006 VW Jetta TDI. I took off Michelin MXV4s which had given me 45K miles of really great service but which are no longer available. they were not at the end of their useful life but I wanted really new rubber for the trip. The road noise on all surfaces above 45 mph was so bad that I we took my wife's 2011 VW GTI on the trip instead. When I sought to return the AS M1s I was several days beyond the return deadline. Nevertheless, Michelin treated me extremely well and I was given a full refund. Great Company and Service not the right tire for my vehicle and me.

Second Time for Michelin!

Bought Lattitudes for my Rav 4, excellent, so I got the Premier a/s for my Honda Fit Sport. Took a ride on the interstate and they seem great, too little time until they break in a bit. Seem a little stiff but I think they will soften up after a bit.

Not what I expected from Michelin.

These are the first Michelin tires I've purchased. Always thought they were excellent tires but was I surprised. They are rough riding, noisy, not good traction in snow and on the highway you feel as if you are riding on street car tracks. Had car check out and found there was nothing wrong with it. First and last Michelin tires for me.

Don’t expect 60,000 miles

I got about 35,000 miles out of a new set when they got to 3-5/32 all around. Local reseller explained that the warranty required they be worn to 2/32 to be covered. This meant driving with 3/32 of tread on the front tires this past winter. Finally got the front tires to the magic 2/32 with 48,000. While the prorated warranty will cover some replacement costs. The thought of asking anyone to drive with such low tread depth again is not worth it. Keep the $50, I’ll take sound of mind, thank you.

What a difference!

Replaced the original tires on my Dodge Caravan with these. Felt the difference within 3 blocks of the tire shop. These ride better, handle better and stop better than the original tires by far. Even my wife noticed the difference with these tires on. Always ran Michelin before but put up with the factory tires until they wore out. Will never run anything but Michelin again.

Premier A/S

Needed tires for my 2004 Maxima, I drive spirited but only on occasion, mostly routine average driving but when I need to go I want to go! Research on several sites convinced me that this was the right tire for my car and the way I drive, it was between the Michelin premier AS/60,000 tire and the Michelin Defender/90,000 mile tire. Thanks to a intense research period online I decided on the Premier even though it costs a little more and has less tread life. It was the characteristics of superior ride, noise and handling that made the difference for me. After a serious test drive (that would make Dale Jr proud) with the tires on my maxima it was like driving a new car! My research kept coming across similar statements. I will get back after 10,000 miles but I couldn't be happier now with the handling and ride! Blows away my old tires which were fairly good. Its like the difference between driving a car with 6 cylinder then bumping up to an 8! So do your research and get the tire that fits the way you drive!

Nothing premium except the price

I am most disappointed in the Premier A/S. The ride is very rough and brittle, irrespective of the various tire pressures I experimented with. Every road imperfection is transmitted granularly into the vehicle, and the tires howl on the interstate and rumble over every road surface. Fuel consumption increased about 2 mpg. They are certainly no replacement for the Primacys as far as ride quality and noise is concerned. Having had very good experiences with many different Michelin tires over the years, this is the first Michelin product I can honestly say is not worth the money. There is certainly nothing premium about them, except the price.
