My husband had purchased this fan when we were married, it was an excellent fan even after having having being knocked over a few times and even left dented. Fast forward, after I separated from my husband I sought out this exact model and found it was less expensive on Walmart than on Amazon. It's the best fan out there for the $$$. Thank you Lasko for making such a reliable product.

Purchased as an air mover for indoor a home. Fan has 3 speeds, low, med, high. On low, the fan make harmonic howl the oscillates, sounds like a distant train horn, starts faint, grows louder, lowers, grows louder over and over. SOOO annoying, only occurs on low.

This tan is excellent. It can be a bit noisy but works for me. Does a wonderful job of keeping the front area of my house cool. This is my. Second purchase of one of this model fan. After having the other for about three years my son who lives in Northern California caught me at a weak moment and Italked me out of the first which he is loving.

Our AC went out about a week ago and can't be repaired until a part arrives. In the meantime, this fan is keeping our house quite comfortable, despite the hot weather. As other reviewers have said, it moves a LOT of air. And yes, it's loud. No way around that. It's not heavy, and that's good because I move it into whatever room we're using at the moment. I'm eager to have my AC back, but this fan has kept us quite comfortable even though daytime temps are already in the 80s.

Fan is too loud

I bought 3 of them about 5 years ago and they worked great. I need another trio of them again since ours died.

I have had Lasko high velocity fans before and have always been pleased...However this fan just barely blows air....Definitely not high velocity.

Moves alot of air, but emits a loud high pitch howelling sound, a sign of cheap bearings or even cheaper bushings

We use this fan on our deck and wow it's amazing! Even on the lowest of the 3 speeds it's powerful enough for us. Noise level isn't very loud.

Much cheaper to operate than the air conditioner. Also, probably a bit noisy for most people, but great noise generator when you live in the middle townhouse and noise reduction was installed by the lowest bidder.
