[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This vacuum is overall wonderful. I would definitely recommend purchasing it. The suction is great and it changes easily between different types of flooring. The automatic rolling brush attachment is my favorite. This allows my to easily vacuum couches and little ones left crumbs or pulled strings from my decorative pillows. There is a separate on/off button for the powered . It's takes a sec to get used to it but once you do it's easy to remember. The one downfall and reason for the deducted star is the vacuum does go fully flat to go under chairs. If you lean to far the vacuum lifts up of the ground. This forces you to move chairs when vacuuming under the table instead of being able to go under them. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently received the Bissell Surface Sense Upright Vacuum from the Stellar Product Testing Panel to test and review. This vacuum is amazing! I have many things I appreciate about it but my favorite features are how lightweight it is and how easy it is to maneuver around my home. I also love that I can use it on the different flooring surfaces in our home including the carpet in our living room, area rug in our dining area and the linoleum in our kitchen. This vacuum was super easy to set up with clear instructions and helpful step by step videos. As I previously mentioned, I enjoy how lightweight this vacuum is. I also like that I don't need to worry about purchasing replacement bags as it has an attached canister you empty instead. It is much smaller than my older vacuum by another brand and this one has a much stronger suction and gets my floors cleaner as well. Our family has four kids, a long hair Golden Retriever mix dog and a long hair Siamese cat. The awesome tangle-free brush roll had no problems tackling our floors! My first time using it, I couldn't believe how much pet hair and dirt was in the canister when I dumped it. It is very effective at lifting hair, debris and dirt and I'm still impressed with the results each time I use it. It is very convenient that I can move from one room to the next, switching between carpet and linoleum and the vacuum senses surface changes and adjusts accordingly. I have typically had to sweep my kitchen but being able to zip around and vacuum it instead has been wonderful and time saving. It also has LED lights to help as you navigate. I also love the easy to use hose extension for using around my baseboards as well as reaching up high to capture spider webs off the walls and ceilings. Overall, I am very impressed with this Surface Sense Upright Vacuum's suction and its cleaning power. I typically dread vacuuming but now I actually look forward to it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel I was able to test the Surface Sense Upright Vacuum. There are a lot of things I like about this vacuum. It has a light on the front which is nice when going into darker spaces. The head swivels which makes it easier to get into tight spaces. I love that it can adjust automatically from carpet to other types of flooring without having to do anything yourself. The attachments that come with this vacuum are great. It is very lightweight and easy to carry. The only downside is that the cord is not retractable and I don't think it cleans as well as others that I have used in the past.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is not my typically go to style of vacuum, but my opinion is forever changed. This vacuum is AMAZING on carpet/pet hair/hardwood floors. I was amazing at the amount of hair and debris it sucked up on the first run. It is easy to set up, easy to use and maneuver and the transition from going from carpet to hardwood is seamless. The tangle free brush is the true champion of this vacuum. My pervious vacuum I would have to detangle and take a part every few rounds to cut hair off the brush. I do not need to do this with this vacuum. My only drop of a star was hair did get caught on the spindle that connects the brush to the base. I had to remove the brush and the hair in order for the brush to continue to roll. Not a game changer as I do not need to do this with every use. The only other flaw is how wide/tall the base of the vacuum is. It doesn't fit as well as my previous vacuum in tight areas and under furniture. I do not personally feel it is too bulky or heavy to anyone to use. It will continue to be my go to vacuum and I appreciate the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me this vacuum.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have 3 dogs, 2 cats, and 3 teenagers. This vacuum has met that challenge! It is easy to use, the attachments are accessible and simple to install or uninstall. Cleaning the dust container is simpler than other brands that I have owned. I have had this for about 2 months and I use it weekly. I have had no issues whatsoever. Even after usage the rollers have zero pet hair wrapped around them (unlike the sweepers I had before this one).

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had a Dyson and it quit on us they have been out stock forever so I tried this isn't worth the money to spend on it....it is substandard in my opinion to the dyson at this point I will buy another dyson when they are back in stock and suffer with this one until I get a good one again

This vacuum was great for cleaning every flooring surface in our home. We have tile, carpet, and area rugs throughout our home. The vacuum automatically sensed the different types of flooring & adjusted accordingly. You can feel and hear the difference as you moved throughout the house. The vacuum is easy to move around the house. It looks sort of bulky but it glides so surprisingly smoothly, especially on tile floors. The tangle-free brush lives up to its name as well. My favorite feature of this vacuum is definitely the surface sense. My old vacuum had to manually be adjusted for different surfaces. This glides so easily from one surface to another and does a great job even picking fine dog hair out of our area rugs and the couch. I think other pet owners would be pleased as well. The only negatives are that it doesn't have a retractable cord. At this price point, I don't think that's a crazy feature to ask for. And it's bulky for the stairs. It would be nice if the canister and hose could separate to use as a smaller vacuum for things like that.

Pros: -LOVE that theres a light in front. makes me realize how much dust and dirt is on my clean-looking floors so I vacuum way more often -its great that there are other attachments and they are stored directly on the device in a non protruding way. -the wheels are really smooth and its quite easy to clean/empty Cons: -its a bit heavy so takes a lot of wrist strength to maneuver -hard to clean under furniture because of where the canister is placed I received this vacuum cleaner as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Bissell Surface Sense Upright Vacuum as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel program. Bissell has always been a favorite brand for floor care but this tops them all! The Bissell Surface Sense Upright vacuum is intuituve, by sensing between hard floors & carpet. Making it a breeze to vacuum all your floors, & even gets the debris along edges well too. Or this function can be switched off to run the brush continuously. It almost drives itself & takes little effort to push around the house even on the thickest of carpets.The handle can be removed to expose the wand for the versatile, convenient,  & very useful attachments. My favorite is the uniquely shaped crevice tool that also has a led light that helps you see those hidden places, & get them clean. But I absolutely love the tangle free brush roll. Despite having a long hair dog, 3 adults with hair to their waist, & 5 young kids, I never had to pull hair from the brush, & only had to empty the canister, as I despise cleaning hair. The canister is big enough to vacuum multiple rooms, & is simple to remove to dump without leaving a mess behind. When removed, you can also access 2 different filters, one on top of the canister, on underneath which makes for an ultimate clean. It also has suction control on the handle which makes it convenient to switch to the best settings for different areas. Overall, it is very accessible, & versatile making an upgrade on performance, & design that makes this Bissell Surface Sense Upright Vacuum, the best Bissell yet!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have two Old English Sheepdogs who do not shed, but whose long hair does manage to create some mighty dust bunnies. I needed to replace my old Bissell and went with the 2817. The difference with the 2817 is quite notable. Not only are the rugs and floors clearly much cleaner than they have been with this machine, but the dust in the house is at an all time low level. This is a purchase I am very pleased with.
