My generator was just delivered and it is sweet. It has a remote start, which is fantastic for my wife, who would not be able to pull start a generator. I can now feel comfortable that when I have to be at work during a hurricane, that I know the power situation is a non-factor.

I purchased this generator for power backup for our house. I have a 10 circuit transfer switch that I powered with my welder that also produces 8,000 watts. We have several 2 to 6 day power outages each fall and winter and have been using the welder for several years but it's not big enough to power our well along with the 10 circuits. This generator allows us to power everything we need, well, freezers, refers, wood furnace combustion blower and circulation fan, sewer lift pump, water reservoir pump, TV, computers and enough lighting to be comfortable. It started with the first push of the start button. Really like with one quick push it sets the choke and starts the starting sequence. Also the remote start will be really nice when the power goes out during a blizzard.

The WGen1200 is has solid construction and great build quality. It's built like a tank. The features are great, including the push start button and multiple ways to plug in equipment. The handles are strong and make it easy to like and move the generator around. All in all, it's a great investment and gives me peace of mind in the event of a power outage at my house.

I purchased this to provide power backup for my home. I have wanted one but could not justify it on the chance of severe storms or tornados. The current pandemic with it's possible impact on city power supplies finally got me to buy one for self sufficiency.

I just received this. Attached the battery, assembled the wheels and lift bar. Added the supplied oil and put some gas in the tank, with only the most brief hesitation the generator started right up. After reading many reviews that commented on the awkward placement of the oil drain I was pleased to see that Westinghouse seem to read the reviews on their products and have added a drain hose (I'll try to attach a photo). Though the machine is heavy the large wheels and hefty lift handles make it like moving a medium filled wheelbarrow, I had no problems pushing it up the ramp to my shed or across my soft lawn including a slight grade (note that I'm an out of shape senior). Overall my initial impressions are very positive.

Pros:Dual fuel (Gasoline/Propane),easy start, auto choke, comes with an oil drain hose already attached, battery was 100% charged on arrival, self charging battery, remote foible works very well, attached wheels makes it easy to move round, grounding port available, manual comes with good instructions on maintenance, has a gasoline gauge to monitor the gasoline level, more fuel efficient compared to other brands of similar wattage, comes with accessories for attaching the wheels, battery and the spark plug, comes with a propane hose and oil funnel. Cons:Loud (92dB at the generator and 71dB at 20 feet), very difficult to get the generator out of the packing cart (was a challenge, needed two persons to get off the cart even with wheels attached), battery nuts and oil dip stick were ridiculously tight to loosen.

Purchased by our company to power a miller welder for mobile applications. Works well as long as used within the power ratings and specs of the generator limits of less than 50 amps. We use it with a 40ft extension power cable for the welder and its works properly. Would recommend!!

I don't make any purchase without extensive research. After careful consideration I purchased a WGen 12000. I received it one week ago and had it up and running in no time. It appears to be a particularly sturdy unit with all the features I need to run as backup during power failures. I am impressed with its <5% THD which will protect sensitive electronics. I look forward to many years of service from this generator and the security it will provide me.

Have just had electrician install the connection to the house and started the generator. Added oil and fuel and it started readily. The generator comes with a charger and it should connect to the Control Panel but there is no hole to insert. Hopefully Westinghouse will respond and send someone to rectify the panel. Under ASSEMBLY on page - 12 under contents It advises 2 washing machines - - which should be 2 washers. Again hopefully Westinghouse will rectify their user manual. Too early to tell how good it is as winter still here and no outages yet. Thank you - Peter.

excellent all the way, ordering, shipping, deltvery, then comes the generator, i cant say enough how pleased i was. Everything icluded, very easy assembly and pushed the button to hear this thing purr and make more power than most can use.If you are looking for a great generator this one is a caddilac
