Based on a couple of test runs the WGen12000 seems to be a pretty good unit. Everything was in good condition out of the box, and the little bit of setup required was easy. Just be prepared for the weight! Until you get this thing to the point when you can roll it on the wheels, it can be tough to manipulate 300+ lbs of generator. So far I've done a test run with about a 20 Amp / 120 V motor load (2400 W). Once the generator kicked up out of idle, it didn't hiccup at all with those two loads going on and off. Idle is relatively quiet, but it does get loud under load. The generator has an electric start with no manual pull start option, which is to be expected for a motor this size. No complaints here, just remember keeping up with your battery is one more maintenance item. I added an SAE battery quick disconnect so that I can use my own battery tender. The WGen comes with a DC charger and port, but I doubt the charging circuitry is on par with a true tender. The battery is going to be plugged in 99% of its life, so I'd rather not chance a flat battery when I do need it. I will be wiring the house for a 50A/240V inlet with a breaker interlock. Looking forward to being able to power most, if not all, of the house when needed during outages.

I like everything about the generator so far besides the oil dip stick. Very little to no instructions on how deep exactly to put the dip stick to check oil level. Nice looking and seems heavy duty and well built. I'm excited for the electric/remote start and I like how all of the plugs have nice rubber covers.

power went out at my house so i bought this generator and was suprised how easy it was to set up and run, was also suprised on how much power it had, was able to run more than i thought. also was suprised on how long it ran on a tank of gas, and its very light weight

Unboxed it, filled it with the supplied oil, hooked the battery and put some gas in it and paired the remote. Fired up on the 2nd try. Turned it on and off from the remote about 50 ft away with no problems. I don't have a load on it yet but will give it a shot after wiring the house with it. I will post those results on you tube once I do it.

Bought this 2 weeks ago and were very happy with it so far. Starts and runs perfectly! I don't understand why it was shipped with the dipstick tucked in that made it nearly impossible to pull out and insert the correct way! Also, the gas line wasn't attached to the tank. Why?

My neighbor bought this and my electrician recommended this generator. I have a dual panel breakers box so I needed this model. I ran it for about 7 hrs to break it in and have changed the oil and oil filter. Very easy to change. It didn't bat an eye when I tested it hooked up to the house. However it does take it two times to start each time and on one occasion it died and restarted by itself. The life timer on the unit also stopped working after that for some reason. Other than that, it is simple to operate.

Purchased this a week ago and while I haven't had to use it in an emergency situation yet, I am confident it will do the job. I did a trial run and it powered all lights and appliances no problem. I did my research and this unit met all my needs while in my price point.

5 stars for the packaging. Using this as a backup as the area where I reside experiences power outages frequently. Simple to un-crate/assemble. Hooked up the battery and the unit started very easily first time after adding oil and fuel. Runs/starts consistently and I am extremely satisfied with the product. The remote start is certainly a bonus! It will power my whole house and shop.

This generator has plenty of power for a single phase unit. It has plethora of Plugs that cover most of your possible 120/240 volt needs. All breakers are toggle breakers except for the 2 breakers for the 4 gfci circuits they are push to reset. Not a light weight unit at a little over 500 pounds. 2 guys to ramp it into the back of a pickup.

Had a difficult time obtaining product. Took three attempts with three different suppliers. Delivery was difficult to track however delivery was professional & no damage. Product met all expectations. Manual was confusing at times and lacking info (especially with oil fill location).
