This Generator Far Exceeded My Expectations!

I live in a luxury RV in the FL Panhandle and I wanted a generator that could handle 3 air conditioners, washer/dryer, refrigerator, and everything else in the event of a power outage. The dual fuel provides an excellent option in case gasoline becomes scarce. We thing we are now prepared for any electrical outage. Excellent product! Thank you!

Lots of power

Provides more than enough power for my rv. Is a bit finicky about starting. Only had for 6 weeks and had problems w the clicker and now I have to run a smaller generator to charge the battery so it will start. but I'm still getting start issues. now it says needs maintenance. Cleaned the spark arrestor and plug. Getting co2 warnings when under a roof against a wall. Not enclosed.

Great so far

I bought the WGen14500TFc last year. It runs like a champ and it easily powers my entire home except for central heat/air. I don't know that it wouldn't also handle the HVAC but I may consider adding a soft start before I try. It is a little noisy but I knew that going in and it is a fine tradeoff to have this level of backup power at a good price point. Right now my only recommendation to improve the generator would be for it to come with a magnetic oil drain plug.

Bad Generator

Not worth the money

My unit ran great the first few times I used it. After the 3-4 time I went to use it, it wouldn't start and if it did only stayed running for a few mins. Took it to factory authorized repair that kept getting same bad part several times. After 2 1/2 months they are finally replacing the unit, I'll never buy another of these.

SIMPLE ASSEMBLY. REMOTE FEATURE IS IDEAL

After simple assembly; tires, lift bar, and attaching the battery, it started right up. I recommend High Octane gas (93 or above). Ensure you read the instructions, step by step. Oil is provided. It is very heavy. However, the trailer arms make it so much easier to move. :-). My first Westinghouse generator. I am completing a whole home load test (1800 square feet) it should do fine. Remote starter is very convenient, and starts the generator from a good distance.

A Generator that Works

The Westinghouse generator I purchased recently, is one of the best choice I've made by far. Strong enough to power the entire house. Convenient enough to turn it on/off from the couch using the remote start. I have a natural gas outlet in the back yard so it's simple connecting the natural gas hose.

Absolute JUNK-Do NOT Buy

This generator has been nothing but non-stop problems. Just like many of the other reviews, it just suddenly dies for no reason. Sometimes will randomly blow white smoke. Took it in for warranty repair the first time this happened and they replaced the carburetor, and it ran good for a few more times, then the same problems all started up again. Replaced the battery and changed the oil, worked okay for a few more times, then again, starts blowing white smoke, ruining an event that it was on. I am going to have to try to make it run again, then sell it for whatever I can get and then buy a real generator (a HONDA).

Hello, We're truly sorry to hear about your experience with your generator, and we understand how frustrating repeated issues like these can be—especially when reliability matters most. This certainly isn’t the performance we aim to deliver, and we regret that it let you down during an important event. We appreciate you taking the time to share the details, and we’d like the opportunity to look further into this for you. At your earliest convenience, please reach out to us at westinghousevip@wpowereq.com, so we can try to make this right. Excellent portable generator to power house!

I bought this generator to power my house during the extended outages which plague the gulf coast during hurricane season. When supplying generator power through a 50amp inlet to a panel, the max input is 12k watts. Since I'm running on natural gas and the running wattage of this unit on natural gas is 11.6k, this is the perfectly sized unit for my needs. Assembly is easy, minus the "included" natural gas hose. Apparently, Westinghouse no longer ships the natural gas hose, although all of their literature says it's included.

Westinghouse WGen14500TFc is the best in its class

*The Positive: Power and Performance: 13,500 peak watts, 10,500 running watts (propane), are powerful enough to run my entire 3300 sq ft home(built in 2023), including central A/C units and multiple appliances simultaneously. -Ease of Use & Setup: The setup process is described as straightforward, and features like the electric start, remote start key fob, and push-button operation are highly appreciated for convenience, especially during bad weather. Total time: 45 minutes. -Fuel Versatility: The tri-fuel (gasoline, propane, and natural gas) options are major highlights, offering flexibility and reliability when one fuel source might be scarce. Mine runs ONLY on propane: 3 sets of 100L tanks- my choice. -Quality Build: well-built, rugged, and durable, with solid construction designed to last. -Low THD: This specific model offers low Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) (<5%), making it safe for sensitive electronics like laptops and cell phones. *Some Critical Issues: -Noise Level: It's loud when running(depending on where you locate it), which is a concern for nighttime operation or proximity to neighbors. I used the Generator Exhaust Extension Silencer Kit(Amazon) with Insulated Through-Wall Mounting Plate, and solved the noise and CO problem. -Weight/Mobility: The units are heavy (around 348 lbs), so while they have wheels and handles for portability, moving them requires effort. -Minor Component Issues: a sensitive CO sensor that causes the unit to shut off, quick-connect fittings, and other accessories are available to buy if needed. *Overall, after 1 year of use in Florida, I am extremely satisfied with this purchase, considering the generator a great value for the money and a reliable investment for home power backup during hurricane season outages.

Generator

Bought this and have it set up and it will run the entire house which includes two A/C units. Hope I get through this hurricane season and never have to use it.
